Is it true that you cannot prevent paint wear at the bottom side (specificaly one toe and the tail) where the statue is directly in contact with the base plate? The the base material seems like sandpaper, and when you place the item on the socked once you already cause paint wear. Is this true? I need to know fast! Plz help.

i don't have it, is it removable from the base? 'cause if it is you can always put something in betwwen to prevent this.

Yes it is removable. The thing is I might buy it second hand and the paint wear is already caused. If you cannot prevent it either way wether new or second hand then I'm not to bothered with it but if it's the sellers fault I might rethink. Thats why I need to know.

Well, I'm late but the paint wear does appaer a bit. It doesn't matter IMO as you don't see it.

Interesting, mine doesn't have any paint wear at all and I've had it on display for about 10 months.

The bottom of the base on mine does seem to be slightly warped in one place, though. It seems that the bottom is a decal instead of being part of the piece itself. :puke2:

Mine is worn a bit on the toe as it is did not quite fit right into the foot dent in the sand due to it being off a bit. I never notice it though as it is on the foot.
