Which base is the best!

IMO, a base can make, or break the appearance of an awesome bust. This having been said, what are the thought of this group about bases. Who has the best, who has the worst?

I recently expressed my opinion regarding the sneak peak of the Guardian bust not having a distinctive Canadian look to it over on that thread, and think that the overall appearance would benefit, as well as give a group themed base to all AF members.

My fav. is Black Panther, but the Skull being on the Cosmic Cube is pretty cool too!

Definitely the custom bases show a lot more to the characters personality. And I think the revolver cylinder for the ORIGINAL GHOST RIDER was simply genus on Randy's part.

But I give an honorable mention to the HELLBOY mini bust. Although the base is simple, the way the character just drapes over into nothingness is a work of art.

I think the Punisher mini bust base is pretty cool. Gorgon's is cool. Iceman, FFF, and for some reason I like Tritons base also.

I don't like the Juggernaut or Red Skull base at all. I can't believe how many like it. To each his own. I also like the Punisher base but FFF is still my fav.

I like the base of both The Rawhide Kid and Western Ghost Rider. The barrel of the gun with holsters on the side is just really cool to me.:thumbs2:

Iron Fist and Chrome Punisher for MB

Punisher- The color and the skulls are just wicked

Gorgon- The hoof is very well-done.

Destroyer- Just love the simplicity of it

Absorbing Man- I like how the base rock surface on his body flows down to the base

Electro- The base just speaks for the bust itself

Iceman- The base is just so cool. :p

Hmmm... What would you consider a distinctive Canadian look? A hockey puck or bowl of poutine?

I know it might limited to Marvel only but my favorite BD base so far is no doubt on Phantom mb, pure awesome!

Other than that, Destroyer, Juggernaut, Thanos will do.

FS's

Iron Fist - Awesome base. The Red IF's base will look amazing as well.
Thanos - Lots of tiny detail. Base fits the character as well.
Apocalypse - See Thanos.
Hawkeye - Lots of cool stuff all around the base.
Deadpool - Logo + Bullet Casings = Awesome.
1st Venom - The sewer base is cool, and the addition of Spidey in there always entertained my customers when I showed them.
Ghost Rider - Very intricate. You don't get the feeling that it is a traditional statue base.
Mysterio - That looks very hard to sculpt. Perfect base for the character.

MB's

Destroyer - Simple but effective.
Frankie Raye - See Destroyer.
Iron Fist - A simpler but equally awesome base than the FS.
Mysterio - It's his bracers! Cool stuff.
Omega Red - The symbol pressed into what looks like volcanic earth looks bad-ass.
Western Ghost Rider/Rawhide Kid - Same base, but it fits for their western motif.
Sandman - The sand on this bust was sculpted amazingly.
Sunfire - The Katana handle base looks great.
Terrax - Honestly, I don't know why I like this one. It's very simple, but something about it is cool.
Thanos - Infinity Gems!
Battle Armor Thor - The column looks great. Distressed and beaten up.

1. Sunfire (katana handle base--wow! thats cool!)
2. Sandman (sand oozing--nice!)
3. Omega Red (just a nice sculpt of a base)
4. Frankie Ray Nova (like the flamed hair circling the planet)

I didn't see anyone pick the Snowbird base, it's pretty nice.
I like the IF Exclusive and the FS base, Dragon's are cool, but I only see them when I'm drunk.
Juggy's is nice, but I tried to look at the Sun through it, and well, just don't try it. Thank's Bowen.
And I ate the little candies off the Thanos bust, Thank's again Bowen.
