Anyway. I was wondering. Do most people just collect Statues, Busts or Both?

I would venture to guess both. I like FS better but I know a lot of people are mb completionist.

Yeah I am missing 2 bowen mini busts from the marvel line and only have about 25 full sizes. and also I got about 3/4th of the Lord of the Rings line from SS

I collect busts,statues (absolutely Bowen ,and also the ones I like from other companies,for ex. DS Doc.Doom),action figures of Superhero and from japanese animation,Chogokin (Japanese robots's metal models) :)

However Bowen busts and statues for me are the TOP of my choice ;)

I collect both fs and mb. Primarily Bowen but I do collect other lines like GG, SS, and DC direct.

Mainly MB's, but I get the FS's of characters I really like. Besdes Bowen stuff I also get the DC Animated statues of the female characters (Harley, Batgirl, Catwoman, etc...). I have a few other random statues but not many.

I'd get ALL the FS's if I thought I had the room for them. :D

I do MB's mainly do to space availability. I also grab a FS here and there. Since I'm an X-Men freak, I tend to only pick up the FS's related to them.

FS's are really cool, but I just don't have room for them all.

I decided early to limit the MB's I wanted too. For example, I don't really collect any of the X-Men related stuff. I have a red Angel, but that's more because of the collector's club factor than anything. But I'm not even bothering to chase down a Storm, Cyclops, of Phoenix 2-pack.

Welcome, I am relatively new also.

I have collected comics most of my life. I started collecting action figures about 7 or 8 years ago. My focus has always been on Iron Man and Hulk but I also pick up things that I really like. I have acquired most of the older Action figs that I wanted and continue to get some new ones as they come out but the hunt for older stuff is pretty much over (I still find older items but not that often).

I think the natural progression is to move on to the busts and statues. I don't collect everything by a specific company (completist) – I just grab my favorite characters and really cool stuff that comes out.

Part of the excitement of collecting anything is the hunt and striving to get everything that you have on your want list, once you achieve your goal, it may be time to move on to something else. This is how it is for me and I am a self confessed incurable collector.

I moved onto Bowen mini-busts during my senior year of college, and I'm slowly but surely descending into the depths of full-size statue collecting madness...

Pretty soon, I'll need an apartment for myself, as well as one for the sculptures. :D

I started out building garage kits many moons ago. Used to have a wide variety, monsters, sci-fi, star trek..etc. Finally I put limits on myself and only collect comic FS superheros. Sorry, no room for bad guys.

It is an expensive hobby and about the time you think your collection is good enough somebody has got to go and sculpt another really great statue. Yup, the best advice I can give is EBAY that stuff before you get hooked.

I mainly collect Bowen FS statues. Have about 45 of them. I sparingly pick up busts (Spider-Man, Morbius, BAT, Loki, BRB [soon], Stan and Jack) and have only a few mini statues (Green Hulk, FF to go with Galactus).

I'm not a Bowen purist, I have other Marvel and non-Marvel statues, but I tend to buy Bowen for the quality of the scupts.

I also collect art, props, some action figures and bookends.

I don't know why I didn't reply to this back in the day, but my collecting habits have changed tons. Back then, I bought almost everything that came out from Bowen. Now, I buy almost nothing, and have sold almost everything I had.

I still buy comics, but don't have time to read them. I'm very close to just going back to back issues again, and maybe buying the occasional trade for newer stuff that rocks.
