I suppose it depends what you mean by a good deal.

I usually find great deals on hardcovers and props.
I picked up new UC Gauntlet of Sauron some months back for under $200.
That seller had so many up on ebay. Some went for as low as 150$.

The best deals I had were more on what I sold than on what I bought...
In my early 20s, I used to manage a record store. It was a brain dead job. Even some of you guys could do it. Anyway, I amassed a huge collection of rock, country, and classical promo posters, most of which were in NM shape. I couldn't believe how much people were willing to pay for this stuff. I remember getting almost 200$ for a Madonna and a Lyle Lovett poster. When I was done, I made more than ten times what I thought I would...

When people are on the up and up from the start, eBay can be a great place.
