Hi gang,

When I first saw this statue solicited in Preview during the late summer, I was ready to pass it up. But something compelled to take a shot at it.

I'm telling you. I wasn't disappointed in the least.
This statue is stunning in person.

P.S. A shutterbug, I am not. LOL
P.P.S. That's the better half in the background.

It's sweet and all, but I prefer the black and white painted one. Never saw why Marv should get the bronze treatment but it looks nice. I'm still gonna get the other one if I can find him cheap enough.

I like it, thanks for the pics. I'm partial to bronze stuff, what can I say? Maybe I'll pick it up someday.

This is what I've been trying to tell people!

I'm not normally a fan of these faux-bronze pieces, but DF definitely got it right on this one. It actually looks like real bronze when you see it in person.

I coincidentally ran into Nick Barrucci of DF a couple of days after this piece arrived and mentioned getting it. He nervously asked how I liked it. When I told him I honestly thought it was one of the best painted bronze finishes I'd seen, he breathed a sigh of relief and smiled. He said it had taken them so much time and so many attempts to get just the right look to the finish, they were hoping all the extra effort would be worth it when the piece arrived on the market.

IMO, it was.

wow. I agree
Im suprisingly impressed.
Now I want to see the Nancy with the Bronze treatment.
Until I clicked on this thread I had the "Bronze Sin City? no way" thought stuck in my head
hmmm.... Im glad its overpriced IMO. Helps me say no.

I was so sure this statue would suck big time and then you have to go off and put pics of it!! looks realy nice , I have the regular version and think the statue rocks !! but now I'm in doubt of getting this one !!

But still Bronze cast would have been a must buy , now I'm still in doubt.

Looks great!! I'm a big fan of bronze finishes as well. Hasn't seen anything on this one though. Don't know how I missed it.

Congrats!!

I guess they didn't really promo it heavy since they only made 99 of them. Probably figured word of mouth would easily sell through the run.

Only 99 and still available no less...
I was thrilled to discover how great the piece turned out...
I don't know anyone else who purchased one.

I think our "surprise" at the quality of the DST piece says a lot on so many levels.

P.S. Thanks for all the kind words, folks. The better half was thrilled to read the posts as she got this for me as a gift.
