Is Vindicator the next $100 regular edition bust?

By this time next year Vindicator will be a $200 bust. It's limited to 2000, it has chrome, he's the leader and most if not all of the team will be out this year.

None of the reg editions from Phase 2 yet, but after Vindicator I'd say Classic Black Panther and Classic Wolverine to pass $100.

Applying the bang for buck rational, cant see it happening especially since Full size statues with runs of 2000 are being offered for less than $100....also anything that has been considered as rare (not your normal run) ie Red Angel and Iron Fist are infact falling in price and are in some instances can be found under the sub $90 mark

Vindicator is a different case IMO. Most of the time busts sells more than statues in the long run.

Yep certain places asking over $100 even on ebay stores, but at the end of the day that’s another one that can be found for less than $100…many places are asking for over $100 bucks but its another thing getting that price…some retailers in my view have jacked the price up and now their stuck and forced to discount to move the stock...therefore market has been artificially driven high to begin with…also in my view Guardian aint one of those iconic characters like Thor, Hulk and Cap that one will go out of their way to pay well over $100…

Bigben, I too would like to see more silverage, silverage X-men should be made with a matching professor X. Allot of silverage villians would be good also, Sauron and Polaris would look fantastic.

That's exactly what I mean. Black Bolt and Vindy are both leaders. Black bolt is now in the $150 or more price range with a larger run (4000) compare to Vindy of only 2000. Vindy will not be an exception.

Correct 3000, the lowest run on any Wolverine bust PLUS it's the only Wolverine bust that lines up with phase 2 & 3 busts PLUS it's the costume he's wearing now PLUS X-Men 3 is coming out in a few months which will increase demand for this piece and most importantly of all...it's Wolverine :) .

Iron Man is a Marvel mainstay for 40 some odd years, demand amoung collectors for Irom Man period is larger.

If we are comparing apples to apples Black Bolt and Vindicator share the largest similarities when doing a comparison analysis and it should be reasoned that both will eventually reach the same value.

I also feel something which should be taken into regard which would effect this rationale would be considering the popularity of Alpha Flight as opposed to the Inhumans. To make these assumptions is Alpha Flight to X-men what Inhumans are to Fantastic Four? Wassup Ryche, I agree about the unifying theme, something to tie them all together. I think Randy is assembling them to make a nice display if you get them all (just like the Inhumans) man it's great that Randy pays attention to these old school groups in that way!! I can attest that Hulk, Thor, Ant-man, Iron-man and Giant-man/wasp go very nicely together also.

The base for the IM mini bust is okay, nothing really spectacular just some circutry but it fits well with all the basis of the earlier pieces. I regret not buying another IM when they were $30 so that I could chrome it, I think in chrome it would look really good, I wonder if any forum alum has done/did that?

Alpha Flight could have been a great book if Guardian wasn't killed in issue 12 and they would have kept the team linked more closely with the X-Men.

You can say allot about John Bryne but one thing that for sure is at that time in his career his was making fun comics to read. For those who read these issues when they were coming out like me it's a trip to see them getting this attention.

Your right Jes, forgot to mention of course the Cap. I have had allot of Bowen busts but I sold all of them and have just kepted these six core Avengers, I really did'nt find all the other as vital in my collecting mind. I have them arranged just like your display.

$35 for Vindicator bust is a hell of a deal, good score. I am not much of a Alpha Flight fan and don't know many people who are. They were fun to read though, I remember Diablo appearing as a villian and really liked the plotline, another character that I found interesting was Wild Child, he always gave me the creeps!

Where do you have the second stringer Avengers like Scarlett Witch, Quicksilver, Hawkeye, Black Panther etc? You have the Goliath and can probably display them in much the same way beneath the founders cube.
