I need help guys. This is the first time I had a non-payer, I don't know what to do. We both want to back out on a positive note.

E-mail eBay and tell them the situation

Well, if you want your money back from eBay, you have to file a non-bidder payment. If you do that, the buyer will have that on his record. Would he be okay with that? Was this a big ticket item?

If not, you can both just agree to walk away. That's done often enough even on bad transactions. No one really wants negs.

Easy solution .......... forget about it and next time register his EBAY username in which he will not be able to bid on your item. By the way......... welcome to the real world where "crap" like this happens.

If you both want a positive outcome..and he's not wanting to pay full amount ..Have him pay your ebay fee's...if he dosen't want to do that file a complaint with ebay.

Thanks guys, he was an honest person.........he just had no idea on what he was doing. We worked it out by leaving each other positive feedback.
People with 0 feedback scare me.

Is there a way to stop people with 0 feedback from bidding on your auctions?

If there is I would definitely block them, I'm more confortable seeing bidders with over 10 pricey transactions.

I really like seeing people with feedback like... : Faster payer... or something along those lines.. and I hate leaving feedback because I never know what to say in 80 words... Usually I just say.. Incredibly smooth transaction, highly recommended... A+
