I got my pashing Vision yesterday. I put it on the base but notices that i t wasnt all the way down. It was hanging leaving a gap between the statue and base. I was woundering if anyone else had this problem with their P vision.

mine did that a bit, but i blew into the hole ( even though that just sounds bad) and some dust or something flew out and it fits much better now. about 95% goes in, so it shakes a tiny bit if you touch(that sounds bad too, but you get my idea).

Seriously - I noticed my peg was a little stiff stiff going all the way into the hole there. I was considering applying a lubricant to make it slide easier. Does anyone know if a little petroleum jelly would affect the resin?

YES, I KNOW HOW ALL THAT SOUNDS, BUT I AM BEING SERIOUS. Get your minds out of the gutter.

i'll stop. you're right. no more jokes.the guy needs help to fix the situation. maybe use a toothpick inside the base and see if you can loosen up any residue left inside!!!
just be careful not to ruin the paint job!!

KY is a water based lubricant and will probably dry out and stick worse further down the line. A petroluem jelly or a silicon based lubricant would probably be the best bet.

I wouldn't be worried about the paint job so much, since it would be under the foot. I'm more worried about it somehow affecting the clear resin and perhaps discoloring it over time, or making it brittle around the root of the peg. Is there a polymer chemist in the house who could perhaps shine a light on this?

See, I TOLD you I was being serious!

lubricants are fine and all but... Still nothing beats a little forcefull thrust in just the right spot. Just gatta know how to work it. *ahem*

All kidding aside I had to turn the peg several times before it just lowered in, very snug fit.
