View Full Version : It's All Over For Me Now (CM-related)

Okay, I know I've said stuff recently about CMs being overpriced and Sideshow being a good alternative to me, but I've seen the light. Luke and Han have been slight disappointments to me and I'm not all that excited about the upcoming SW PFs except maybe inaccurate Vader and wussy Grievous.

I came across a 20% off sale at Big Bad Toystore and bought TX for $800 and T-850 (Arnold) for $950. Both were in stock so I went for it. It's all over for me now. :banghead:

To all the guys who've posted CM pictures in the past. Thanks. It's all your fault. :p

I saw these pieces at the SDCC this past year, and they are indeed amazing. It's just the size and cost of them which is prohibitive to most people (damn, even Sideshow stuff is a bit on the pricey/large side). If you can afford this stuff, and have room for it, it really is some great product.

Yeah, price and space is keeping me away from these companies.
I'd consider Yoda and Chewie though.
As of now, I'm only getting GG busts that I like.
Which reminds me, where the heck is Grevious, Chewie, and Maul busts. :banghead:

Most likely I'll be giving up a lot of Sideshow stuff to make up the cost difference.

TX will probably be the last to sell out.

I put in an order for the T-800 at Cinemaquette. It said I may be on a waiting list. My order number is only 30 or so off from DetroitSportsFan, so I guess I shouldn't worry since he got one. Do their order numbers mean anything?

I know, but seeing the TX going for less, makes me itch! And I told myself I wouldn't get her! I need to focus and resist the temptation. :)

They get about 50 pieces per shipment, so you probaly are on the next round. :)
Awesome man, you will gonna love, love these pieces! I own many statues/figures, but these are in another league for sure!

Thank you god for the fact the I enjoy the Terminator movies but don't love them so much that I must collect the merchandise for the CMs would be to much for me to resist.

......God I have another favor. Please let the LotR and Indiana Jones Cinamaquettes suck ass. If they are as good as the Terminator ones I won't be able to resist.

Seriously though. Weta LotR statues. The Sideshow 1/4 scalelooking awesome and CMs comming I'm going to have to make some very tough choices in the future.

I noticed BigBadToyStore extended the 20% off sale until 1/3, but now the TX is listed as a "new" item, so now it's not 20% off. :rolleyes2

Well, since Cap and I each bought a TX, they probably didn't want to lose any more money on those.

RichardW

Badhulk, www.cinemaquette.com is a new company that makes higher-end collectibles. Their first releases have been TX and T-850 from Terminator 3 and T-800 from Terminator 2. Think Sideshow Collectibles premium format figures, only bigger and more expensive.

I got my TX (#199) and T-850 (#104) yesterday.

Oh my God, these things are amazing. Even the boxes are amazing. You can really see where the money goes on these things. I'll get some pictures up next week when my wife's at work. She'll look at me funny if she sees me taking pictures for the forum.

I'm REALLY tempted to just get CM from now on (Alien, Predator, Indy). I can't wait until the next batch of T-800s ships.

So now you fully understand what the buzz was all about, huh? I told ya, once you see them in person, you are hooked! Those are trully jawsome and a step above the rest. Enjoy!
Still waiting on my TX to arrive, should be here wednesday! I will be CM Terminator complete then! :)

I went to pick my wife up after work. When I got home, there were two huge boxes in front of the garage. Big Bad Toystore actually put the CM shipping box inside a larger shipping box with bubblewrap.

Number 199? These are selling slowly, but selling nethertheless.

RichardW

I bet if TX was $750, they'd have sold 500 or more by now.

They don't even have to lower the MSRP. They should allow dealers to give a discount like EVERY other company out there. IIRC, dealers can only list the CM products for like $5 less than MSRP. I guess BBTS had these in their warehouse long enough to be allowed to sell them for less.

Their site is awful. I usually leave in frustration before I actually get anything to load. You would think they would know better especially being a high end collectible company.
