I have to say that Koto are IMO the best company for Star Wars figure poses. If only Gentle Giant were as good.

Don't forget the paint applications. Koto's paint work is just as topnotch as their sculpting. And I like that they're hard to actually "hurt" being that they're vinyl, you drop them they're still intact, and dusting them is a breeze!

Their releases are about as slow as Gentle Giant's, but Koto's have better action poses in my opinion. I just wish the Shock Trooper had been a new sculpt instead of just a repaint.

Resin would definitely be better. Koto stuff is nice because it can be blended in with the GG pieces pretty seamlessly. So I think of them as $100 placeholders :).

I do like the Kotobukiya Star Wars line, Obi wan and Anakin eps. III are not good though.

Why have Koto not made a grevious or a Darth Sidious yet?

They made two Yoda's and a Mace Windu, but Mace Windu could be better, they should do Shaak-Ti.

I was just looking for some info on this guy. I had no idea he was released so long ago. :laugh:

Got a chance to pick one up on the cheap. Seeing how old this is has me worried that Koto won't release the other Commanders though. From the pics I've seen, this and Cody are among the best looking Troopers I have come across.

I'm hoping they'll do Captain Rex at the very least. They could pretty much repaint this statue blue and call it a day.

As far as I know the only Clones Koto has done since those are the animated ones. Not sure if they have more realistic style Clones in the works but you could always ask Gonk in the "Ask Kotobukiya" thread.
