http://joystiq.com/2006/01/13/mortal-kombat-armageddon-to-feature-every-kombatant-ever/ 60 playable characters in a fighting game? Unheard of. But according to the latest issue of Game Informer, Midway plans to exit the current generation stage on a high note. Mortal Kombat Armageddon will feature "all the characters from Mortal Kombat fighting history," with the possible exception of Motaro. And if that's not enough, players can tinker with the new Create a Kombatant mode.
In addition, Armageddon will feature a revamped fatality system, mid-air combos, direction-controlled throws, and a Konquest mode based on the Shaolin Monks engine. Armageddon strikes in October for the PS2 and Xbox.
