Polaris would work for me. I think I can make it there in a little under 2 hours. Some other weekend than the first weekend in February would be doable, just need some advance notice. If we want to compete with the East Coast guys I guess we need to hit the Hooters and show off the Ohio State University coeds....that should whip those other hags hands down. LOL.

I am planning to attend as long as their are no conflicts. Planning ahead should help me to move other things around and I will need to check in with the social director.

I also suggest moving from Super Bowl weekend - good catch.

Any where we go is going to be busy on a Friday or Saturday in the Polaris area. We may want to go somewhere that takes reservations if we can get a count. If we do it on Friday, I have to work Saturday morning so anyone still in town can come over for a free lunch :)

We know Colossus will travel, hell he is going 1400 miles in a weekend (we would love to have you here if you can make it). I am in for whichever day is chosen and I believe so is Rychehitman. i have to disagree with you there. sortof. :happybirt the laughing ogre is a good lcs,just not for statues and busts.really arent any in columbus that stock much of those.

Yeah Gib is great at the Ogre :buttrock: But there isn't a store around with much by way of statues.

Ryche - I need the details on this location! I was up in Cleveland two days in the last week and a half. Is it near Cleveland? I would like to check this place out.

Regarding the weekend for our G.O.R.E. event, at this point I think either will work for me.

I wish we had a better comic shop in Columbus. One with Silver and bronze books and statues/busts/figs, etc. I have been around a while and seen all of them come and go. It's a tough business with the internet so it may never happen but a guy can hope! I agree about Ogre being the best place in town and Gib is a great guy (he sold me my Hulk 181 for a good price back in the day).

Just got off the phone with Quaker Steak and Lube and learned the following...

(a) They have NO private rooms

Just got off the phone with Quaker Steak and Lube and learned the following...

(a) They have NO private rooms
(b) Do not take reservations unless it is a party of 20 or more

i am good wherever we go.maybe easton is another alternative.meeting at hamilton road and all at skyline?
or if quaker is too busy for us we could decide on the spot where to go.theres a good steakhouse next to quaker.
