Elektra ¼ Scale from Sideshow _ Sculpted by Pablo Viggiano (Art Direction Martin Canale)

Brief History: Elektra Natchios or simply Elektra the daughter of wealthy Greek diplomat/millionaire and one time girlfriend of Daredevil. When her father was assassinated she withdrew from the outer world and left for Japan where she joined the elite fraternity of martial artists know as the Hand. She honed her skills with the help of their leader Stick. However, she was asked to leave due to her hatred of the world……Look up the Marvel Directory for more.

Sculpt: This is a mixed media sculpt from Sideshow sculpted by Pablo while still working with the Gore Group. Martin Canale provided art direction. The sculpt is ¼ scale and is the third from this fantastic line which includes Logan, Green Goblin and Punisher. Future releases include Doom and Iron-man. This line is a new for Marvel collectors and includes real leather, cloth and in this case hair. The line has been unfairly been described as dolls. In this case Elektra is crouched on top of a Buddhist monk head, ready to attack with her famous sais. The body of the sculpt is polystone with her dress, booths and head band in leather. The hair is also given a realistic appearance and looks very good in person.

Paint Application: The paint application on my Elektra is excellent. The lips, teeth and eyes are very well painted and the skin tone looks real. The base is painted in a very nice granite like colour.

Critique: The pose of Elektra is excellent but its been pointed out to me by some martial arts experts that she is not holding the sais correctly. I was also a little disappointed when the base was changed from its original, which was the head of Buddha, but this is understandable in these politically correct times we live in. The head wear is also not as smooth as it could have been.

Conclusion: This is one of my favourite pieces currently in my collection. There are two options the regular Red and exclusive White. This is the one time were I preferred the non-exclusive from Sideshow. Pablo and Martin have produced the definitive Elektra with this beautiful sculpt.

Great reveiwe bullseye. It is eye catching, I've seen it in person. However, I didn't buy the hair on it. I may go look at it more closely next time I'm at that shop.

Its great to have some reviews for some non-bowen products here. :buttrock:

I was checking out Pablo's site and I wanted to know if anyone knows if his Belasco bust from the Earth X line was ever released, and while on that note, same thing with Hyperion?
These are the only two in the line that I do not have and never remember them being released.

Bulls, after spending more time with the Elektra piece, are you still as in love with it as you first were? And do you think $230 delivered (£130ish) is a good price for the Regular version?

Let me know man, and any others that have it, eager to find out if this one is the second 1/4 scale for me to get.

Doom is the only one Id really want the exclusive of, as it sounds as though the pedestal really adds to an already great piece, so Im still going to hold out a little while for him.

I put the $230 down for the elektra, new and unopened and should get it in a couple of days. I paid £80 for the 1/4 Thing, and almost got the Punisher regular for £80 too (is that a good price for that piece?)

Not really interested in the Logan, and even the Spiderman does'nt really do it for me which is a shame (not so much the cloth costume at all, just the pose and base isnt anywhere near striking enough for me)

Put myself on the wait list for the regular Iron Man too so fingers crossed.

I think Im going to be sticking with Sideshow 1/4 scale and vs dioramas for a very long time now, as I have all the DST and DF ones I was searching for.

JUst bought me a Elektra regular version, as i to agree this is the definitive Elektra outfit.

It was posted just a few days ago so i should have it any day now.

Your review made me close the deal, and for that i'm sure i'll thank you as the statue probably looks even better in person.

Good review and nice pics. Thanks for posting them!

Unfortunately, this piece is far down my list of must haves. The bristle-hair and mixed media leather takes the allure of the piece away for me. I wonder how this piece will fare over time.

Good review .

But , not for me ...

I saw it in person and I could have bought it at a low price . I didn't buy it . The doll hair is awful . I hope that she will remain the only one with this atrocious thing.
