The Juggy pics set off a firestorm and probably had something to do with the forum going bomb. I was around when the pictures were posted but was in Florida for 5 days right after and missed the fireworks. Definitely madness if I can steal a phrase from DanaP. Who, by the way has registered here but hasn't had any time to join in. Busy at work and he's starting up with the Dracula rehearsals. Hopefully we'll see the bearer of the Hammer around here soon.

You really don't want the details. As it says in Randy's message on his site, the forum kind of degenerated into an episode of Jerry Springer.

There were a lot of negative comments about the progress of the Juggernaut. This in itself wasn't the problem. The lack of constructive criticism was (among other things, such as other threads).

Let's just say that a lesson was learned and here we are now.

(I could provide more detail, but I think the whole thing is best left in the past).

Ther are lots of pics of the Juggernaught and the Sabertooth statues over at the sculpting with the Shifflett bros. forum.
You have to register but its a great forum, alot of the new stuff coming out gets posted there.

I don't know, I'm still not too thrilled with that Juggy piece. The pose is a little better but I'm still on the fence, big time. The arms look weird.

This is art, some with like it, some won't.

I think the final piece will be very different than the pose here. Since Randy posted there is no "offical" sketch they are working off, I think the Shifflets are just experimenting based on the changes from sneak peak one to two.

Now, I doubt we will see any more sneak peaks from the Shifflets. I think there work in progress stuff just looks too raw for most people to visualize the outcome.

I will agree that their stuff does indeed look raw when they are tweaking. I think in the end it will be a fine looking piece. It doesn't do anything for me right now, but to each their own. They did wolverine and sabertooth busts. Those look great. They did the Earth X cap is awesome and I saw the rough pics of that. It was way rough and raw. Best advice is a no brainer. See the final piece and make your judgement.

I'm sure that the Shif Brothers will come through in the end but these progress pick don't inspire much confidence. At least to me.

That was the BD Juggernaut FS WIP before Randy refines it. Don't you guys remember the BD Juggernaut is by both Shiiflets and RB? That is the shot when Shifflets complete the armature and before Randy's refinement.

That's not the new one I have to say.

Why would they re-do Juggernaut in the exact same pose as the original?
Are those just in-process pictures of the original Juggy posted and mistakenly
labeled as a new Juggy statue being created?
