The black ones look to be direct market. They're the newer release. They included the missing arm tube in Maestro Hulk in this print run.

Is it possible that the blue is the variant? All of the pics on the boxes, which show the segment of Apoc which comes with the figure, show the black version. I have all black ones here at the store. It seems weird that EVERYEONE seems to have lots of the black ones if they're so rare. I think the original blue version is the hard one to get.

you are Ryche! I have a friend who used to be very active at shows and conventions and very actively bought and sold Legends figs ... he doesn't collect but was a very active dealer

I just saw these again tonight at Grove City Walmart and a ton at Morse road TRU

To be honest with ya, the only reason why I am still a ML Completist is due to the Build a figures.

Once Apocalypse is built, and about 5 Giant Men, I am done done done!

I will only get figures that I really like and no more variants! I am going to be selling some variants soon too! Enough is enough!

Interestin, I only bought the wolve, wolvie unmasked and IF (I do not open em, all mint on card) , still looking for the Red Iron Fist (hint, hint) but I didnt notice what color apocalypse is, but I beleive its blue, have to check once I get home, thanks for the info guys.

I finally landed some Apocalypse series at the TRU on Morse thanks to your tip. All blue Apocalypse parts...all I need is a Wolverine and the variants! If you happen to see any, please grab them for me!

I read there are no "variants" each case has at least one of each figure. You need all but one figure to build Giant Man!

Even though the thread has degenerated since then, I thought I'd bring up the Apoc again. :laugh:

Apparently, the blue Apoc is the mass market one that all the Wal-marts, Targets and toy stores get. The black one is the direct market one, that all us comic shops get, albeit 2 months late. Also, the black line has slight repaint stuff done on Wolverine and the missing extra tube is in Maestro Hulk.

The black one jumped up in price quick cause no one expected it, but now that a bunch of hobby shops have it, I expect the blue Apoc to be the one that eventually ends up being more desirable to the collector. Once Wal-Mart and the like sell out completely, there's really no restocks they'll be getting on it. I do prefer the look of the black one, though.

Also, I've got him on a base right now and I'm assembling a plastic case around him. I just have to saw down the base to fit since it's a plastic football display case. After I'm done, he's going right next to the signed Deadpool FS.

I don't think it's supposed to, but i think there's a link on that page that takes you there.

As far as looking it up, go to the "Search" thing on eBay, hit advanced search and they'll have the option to search by seller.
