Just wondering. I know Vader II is too big, but anyone got a Boba or Tusken in one?

Boba definately fits. The tusken is about the same height as Maul & 3PO and I've had both of them in a Detolf, so I would think the Tusken would fit as well.

Great display, Shangrilien!

As the supports in the Detolf are metal, I did toy with the idea of cutting the shelf supports off and welding them back on with more suitable spacings for the Attakus statues... But I just bought new cases instead.

Just for the record : it's not my collection ;)
I've ordered the same glass cabinets you,Yakface, have (finally found them in France ! ). I also think Attakus pieces need more space, 'cause I don't want them to get claustrophobic :D

Guys you should know that for whatever reason that picture is either innacurate or those DETOLFs have been customized to fit those statues somehow. I'm not sure if IKEA makes different sizes of DETOLFs but the space between my shelves is 15 1/4" not 16" as Ish stated (I just measured mine.)

I have many of those statues and can tell you first hand some of the pieces displayed in this picture WILL NOT fit in a DETOLF without removing one of the glass shelves. Specifically the Stormtrooper and Jango Fett (even without his range finder in place.)

Yep, true.
I know what he did, though. He eleveted the shelfs a little using something in the place of the rubber holders, something thicker, thus making the space bigger. If you look carefully you can see the shelfs are a little elevated from the metal that holds the shelfs.
I did this once, but didn't trust my "connection" too much. :)

No problem Ish. :) Just wanted to make sure nobody went out and purchased a DETOLF thinking they could fit all of those in there. The picture is a bit deceiving.

Indeed, some small pieces lift the glass shelves. I tried to circle them in red, there must be 4 per shelf. Sorry about that, guys. Not tried to fool anyone.

Now that you point them out I can see them. Very interesting. I wonder if doing that would weaken the strength of the shelves. I probably wouldn't take the chance but then again you could always put stronger glass in there I suppose.

Yeah, I was wondering about that, 'cause I was dong the math after visiting Ikea's site, and it just didn't add up.
Hmmm, gotta be another glass case out there somewhere.

It took me ages to find suitable cases for the Attakus statues... If only Ikea made the detolfs with adjustable shelves, or a double-width detolf.

I hear you there. I acutally have them on top of a bookcase right now. The bookcase isn't that tall, so the statues are just below eye level, and it works out perfect. They look nice. I bought some nice glass shelves for on top of the bookcase, but then it puts them way up too high.
I eventually get a nice glass cabinet.

What's that doing stuffed way at the back? If I had one, it would be up at the front on my display!

Personally I've never been a fan of bronze or even chrome pieces for that matter. I prefer my statues painted so they look as close as possible to the characters they're representing.

Definately, I'm exactly the same. That said, I have a few GG chrome busts, although I just bought them for their exclusivity.
