I've only seen ONE with a hard drive since it was released, and that was at Target, on a Saturday morning, three or four weeks ago. I saw several Core systems at Best Buy last weekend. Other than that, I haven't seen any at all.

Have there been any more problems with overheating and stuff with the ones that are shipping now? With Elder Scrolls IV out now, and MLB2K6 only a month away, I'm thinking about grabbing a console next time I see one that has the hard drive.

i just ordered one off the Costco sight. was lucky enough to have a friend get it with his membership. saved me about $40 bucks with all the extras. now i have to wait another week for it to arrive...which is already killing me.

I have a 360 and I don't know how I'll ever go back to playing a non-HD game again.

I went by my local best buy tuesday and they had 20 x-box 360. I walked in right when they opened up and I walked around for about 15 minutes, came back by and not a single one was left WTF!

I picked mine up at Target one day, and the next day the few that remained were gone. Hot cakes, indeed.

Are most of you buying the Core system or the More expensive one?

Ordered one online from EB games. Refused to pay retail. Arrived on Friday. Now the kids are fighting over it. Guess I'll have to get a basic system for the 11-yr-old.

Wait a minute. How are you NOT paying retail by ordering through EBgames.com? They sure don't discount and from what I can tell they make you take it as a bundle so there's always something added in that you are paying for as well.

Here in europe (the Netherlands) you can get the 360's just about everywhere, Core and Premium both. I've even seen one shop that's giving them away with mobile phone subscriptions.

They are everywhere in Dallas, TX as well.

On another note, BURNOUT rocks! It's the best racing game for sure on the 360. It's very intense and you feel like you are part of the freeway chase from Matrix Reloaded.

What a great game.

I'm in Rhode Island. Supplies are still limited up here. Anything in stock goes within a couple of days.

Also, I heard a rumor that MS is going to start phasing out the premium package so consumers will be forced to buy all the extras. Anyone know if there's any truth to this?

I meant "above retail" -- i.e. ebay pricing.
Yeah, had to buy a bundle, but it's all stuff that'll be used.
gotta buy a core system when they hit the shelves to keep the kids from fighting.

Costco is a good source too. I work there a few times a week for some extra bucks, and we blow through them like CRAZY.
