Hi guys, im looking to buying a Thor statue and was wondering which one looks better in person? I have only recently started collecting so have little experience, at the moment i only have four statues all Milestones, so would the Hard Hero range still fit in with these (is the scale the same), both poses on the statues look similar?
I own both, go with Hard Hero!!!

What's up! The HH statues are larger than MILESTONES and BOWEN. They average about 14.5 inches in height. I'd personally wait on the THOR if you're not inlove with the ones you are seeing right now. Guaranteed you will see another full size THOR statue within a year. Patience can be a virtue... :p

As far as quality, HH is the one. It is also massive. The nice thing about this series is that they are very large pieces so you also get more size for your buck. Diamond's line is too inconsistent.

I don't want to offend the sculptor because he's done some nice stuff before but I don't like that Thor piece at all.

I hate the way the Milestone looks, his face is awfull. As for HH's That is the one piece I have from them and its absolutley one of my favorites!I'm gonna have to get the Surfer and Namor cause 1) They look insane
2) I know that they are eventually gonna go up in price and I'll regret not buying one before.

The HH Thor was the first HH statue I saw in person. It was so well done that I immediately tracked down the Silver Surfer and will buying the whole line.

HH Thor is the one! The DST version is built more like "Gimli, son of Glowen". Not sure what they had in mind, actually.
But with the HH version, ASGARD is safe! :buttrock:

Well, I would definitely go with the Hard Hero. having seen both in person and owning the HH, you are better off with the Hard Hero!

I'm getting my HH Thor Tuesday or Wednesday. Can't wait. Now I have to make some room for this, HH Silver Surfer and the Forum Exclusives (eventually). I've been a Bowen mini bust collector for years, but my first foray into full size collecting starts with HH.

I really like how the DST one looked unpainted. I think we still haven't seen the definitive Thor.

Rubbish! The HH Thor is the classic look and style from the comics all Thor fans remember and love. Too bad Big John Buscema is no longer here to enjoy these fine works. No need for BD to sculpt another Thor, epecially just to chase after some other version. Let BD do a character that has yet to be done. Nuff said :buttrock:  :buttrock:

I think by a very large margin the HH version wins, i will buy one ASAP all these people cant be wrong!!
I also love their version of Captain America but money was tight so i had to decide between their version or the Diamond Select version and the D S version won, its a real emotional piece and i love the John Cassaday art which inspired it.

Unpacked my Thor last night and it is an excellent sculpt. I also really like the way the color box is protected at the corners inside the larger shipping box. It's a small detail, but when a damaged box impacts the value of a statue, it makes a difference from an investment perspective. Now to make some room for him and SS...
