This in my opinion was the pinnacle of the card business. I just thought the '94 set was beautifully done. It was a nice mix of art and computer art...after this set, it began to get ridiculous.

Oh God, I loved those cards sets. I still don't have the Rogue Flair card from 1995 and the Rogue and Gambit from 1994. These cards were nice and thick and hard to bend the corners! :D

Did you guys know that a collaborated effort between Marvel and Pepsi Co produced a reprinted version of some of these cards from both the 94'/95' series in Mexico. The Chase cards were Foil and Prismatic.....I have the set, can post pics if you like.....:)

I'm sure that we can fill in the holes in your card set between us...let me see if I have those that you need and I'd happily send them. i know it blows to need a couple of cards for your set and not wanting to buy a whole box and play the "hope, hope" game.

Ok, guys....I am going to post some pics of some stuff that I am totally trying to catch right now....Anyone ever heard of Mego Museum? Apparently they have been giving out these cards (promotionally) and the set is already up to 13 or so.....I don't have all the details yet! The set so far is comprised of Marvel and DC w/a Tarzan (unsure of where he is really trademarked ?) There is a website www.MegoMuseum.com that is dedicated to the collectors of TOYS....as you can tell from the photos its the "Classic" toy line that is featured......I had a difficult time getting information about the "cards", but finally did. There is a fan forum for the Toy collectors and a membership, I think this is how the cards were distributed....
I am of course interested in getting all the cards (Hint Hint) if anyone ever comes into them w/extras or is unintersted in these particular cards.....
Rogue Hold on to your hat sissy....there is a WW card, (I don't have it yet) :( but I have no doubt that ultimately I will complete the set
Furthermore, there is a toy show (Mego Collectors Convention) in Wheeling West Virginia on June 2-3 where there will likely be cards given away....So if anyone might attent, please remember your collecting pals....:wink2:

Personally, I thought this was the end.
Why thick cards? :banghead:
Why ulter art with computer enhancements? :banghead:
Some of the latter Spider-Man and X-men sets had nice art, but many series during the end of Fleers run were poorly done.
It was a big rush by card companies to push product and get a piece of the pie.
Hmmm, remind you of a product now days? :peoples:

I hear you on he Flair stuff. The '95 Annuals were just ok, but I love the '94 set so much that I was sucked in. Probably doesn't hurt that the '94 set was the first card set that I ever completed and this gave me some pride. But I still think they are beautifully done, although I'd have to agree with you that I'd rather see paintings/drawings on cards than computer art.

Yup, it's the scan of both the front of the card and the back of the card then put together on one image. Those are the scans from the auctions itself. The cards I have are Rogue #11 and Mystique #13, but the backs look exactly the same except the number difference and info. :D

Yup, Tatoo....I bought this off of ebay a few years back...complete set with chase cards and even official binder. The binder was creased up the wazoo but the cards were all mint. I remember paying $70 for it but it was on my want list for so long, I just cracked and bought it.
Looking at all the scans, is bringing up memories of my card collection. I think it's time to dig those babies up. Tatoo, did you ever collect the Overpower cards?....damn, I had a tough time collecting those. It took me forever and a lot of money but I finally finished including those damn Classic Overpower Inserts. I kind of wish I had started the new CCG game that's out now but I just couldn't bring myself to start because I knew it would mean I had to complete those too. Way too much money....I'm hoping I can pick up a complete set on ebay somewhere down the line.

Actually the Overpower was fairly easy for us, and Yes, we have complete sets/decks of all the Marvel Gaming stuff starting w/OP....however when we began the Marvel Vs. System stuff we got would we could and kind of put them on the non priority list, staying on top of the Ultra Rares, promos and con/tourney exclusives is costly and time consuming. So we try to trade out for the decks, but stay on top of everything else.....:thumbs2:
Anyone here do the GENIO decks.....?

The "Header" cards were the Super hero cards, in the book, like Hulk teaching a subject like science......Spiderman teaching like biology etc...80% of the cards were non superhero......You know....
