I don't have the SS Endo anymore. I sold it when I ordered the CM Endo, so can't help with the pic.
But this is a picture of my CM Endo with blue filter and "movie grain" added in Photoshop. :D

LOL, thanks guys. :) The light reflections in his acrylic case helped a lot. Only thing enhanced was his red eyes, since it came out too dark in the original picture. Here's the original

What is wrong with the color on the SS Endo's gun?

robomorph
04-24-2006, 09:27 PM
The CM aces the SS in every respect - it also manages to look a good deal more threatening IMO.

Except..maybe it's just the angle or perspective, but does anybody else have the impression that the CM Endo has a longer top half of his body than bottom half? The legs below the knee seem proportionately longer on the SS version, making the CM's 'calves' look a little short?

Optical illusion? Or is that the way it is?

The CM version has “extra” vertebrae making it look taller and slender.

If there's anybody in the UK who wants to check out the Cinemaquette Terminator range, pop into the Collectormania Movie Fair over the next four days in Milton Keynes shopping centre.

LC Toys have all the range in stock and on display on their stand.

I got my first look at a CM T-800 up close and personal today and it is absolutely drop-dead knockout stunning. It really is THAT good. The TX is also a fantastic piece. The T-850, well I have some reservations about that one still (I think it maybe needs the right lighting to look it's best).

Anybody who sees that T-800 will want one. Sorry, but it just blows the SS version clean out of the water. Chalk and cheese.

Also inspected the packaging for the CM stuff and I have to say that it's practically bombproof; real care and thought went into providing the best transit protection possible for their statues. Mail order with confidence! ;)

I'm back too :P I have to say that every CM Endo is unique in its own way, and therefore not one endoskeleton will be 100% the same. Some will be taller others will be darker (in color) etc...

By the way I should be getting my Endo This June!!! I can’t wait to share my pictures with u all.

The "paint" that makes the T-800 looking "dirty" it's pretty easy to remove. It's there just like a "make up". Is not even sealed. I'm sure it's pretty easy to re-paint it if I wanted, but I defenetly prefer the clean look. Besides, I'm pretty sure I won't sell it. ;)

I think is worth it. From all the impressions I heard from people like Cap and Ray the CM Endo seems like the best version out there. I know some people don't blink when Sideshow offers a $1,000 item like the Predator. This Endo falls in that same category even more so with the Stan Winston involvement.

From the few friendly emails I been communicating with cinemaquette I feel pretty confident this will be a good purchase.

The CM is NOT poseable.

CM quality is top notch. The T-800 is the best and most accurate endo statue available. Here's a pic of mine next to the SS version.

I totally agree with you, for nearly a £1000 you'd expect a better pose.

At least the Sideshow version was posable, even though it was hard to get a decent pose.

I still can't decide wether to get the T-850 and T-800. I'm getting put off by how hard it is to get hold of the Endoskeleton.

The T-850 and TX and quite easy to get hold of here in the UK.

The CM pose is excellent, i guess its comes down to every ones own opinion, i sort of know what you mean but then again the pose is from one of the scene in the movie as i believe.

CM and SS endo. CM and SS endo...hummmm. We are talking about two different league of product here, therefore they can not be compared. Don't get me wrong Father Jack, I like the SS version a lot, but CM is THE ONE. Like Ray side, the pose of the CM endo. is excellent. Not much word can't discribe the "beauty" of it. Well the way it's held looks unnatural. Ok, unnatural for a human, and it's supposed to be much stronger. Still, it looks unbalanced. More balanced than the SS one, but IMHO it would be better without.
But maybe that's because I'm not a terminator fanboy, I like the endoskeleton because it's a piece of art, not because it's from the movie. Also there may be better things to put in his hands while still respecting the movie.

Yes, it's a great piece of art.

Unnatural for a human? What human? :inquisiti

I'd like what other things may be better in those hands, please.

I'd prefer nothing, or a crowbar-like piece of junk metal, something more vertical.

IMHO if that gun is necessary it would be better to hold it with 2 hands.

The CM Endo is based off the Endos seen in the first scene of T2. No Endos in that scene were empty handed, so it is a mute point...

The CM Endo is based off the Endos seen in the first scene of T2

At the same time, the SS one is too from T2, right? Considering the SS & CM are different enough, one of them must be 'right', and the other 'wrong', but is your choice based on the movie?

Personally I go for the best looking, which is the CM one. And I don't care at all if it's accurate. That's why I don't care for the gun neither.

Let's face it, T1 was from another time & another budget. That laughable scene with arnie in front of the mirror removing his eye, you wouldn't even want a bust looking like that today.
So the endoskeleton was great at that time, but not flawless. It may have gotten a little change for T2, but it can't change too much otherwise it's not a terminator anymore. So if something has to be done for it to look better and less faithful, I'm all for it. So, back to the gun, it's not because it's in the movie that it absolutely has to be in his hands. Plus, wanting an endoskeleton 'like in the movie' is different than 'like in the Terminator world'. Surely in that imaginary world, the gun isn't glued to their hands and you can see endo's without one.

I'm not saying the gun looks that bad on the CM one, but IMHO it's ruining the SS one. I would have been tempted by a 1:1 SS one, but with that crap standing pose and the gun, I don't much like it.

I spoke to Scott about this and I am under the impression that the CM endo is NOT based on the first scene from T2. There are so many differences, the main ones are that he is not crushing a scull. Other differences are that the CM version has several more vertebras making him look taller and slenderer. The twin pipes going into the back of his head are not exposed like in the movie but rather concealed (This supposedly is an exclusive improvement to the T-850 model). The Jaw got some cosmetic changes (the jaw pistons). There are a lot more cosmetic changes but the ones I mentioned are the main ones that are easy to spot. Scott told me that they based the CM endo of the most current model of the terminator which stands at Stans Winston's studio. This is the model used in T3. The models used in T2 were different. The biggest positive change that I welcomed was the improvement of the hands. If you go back and watch the movie you will notice how bland the T1 endos hands looked like. In conclusion, in my opinion the CM endo is more of a T-850 than T-800. Based on the cosmetic changes that we use to classify each models.

gol, you seem to have a real problem with the Plasma rifle, why not go for the SS 1/4 endo. I now its not as good as the CM 1/3 endo, but you wont have to display it with the rifle you dislike so much.

Just a suggestion. ;)

I myself love the Plasma Riffle, and to me ANY Endo looks naked without it. Yes, it's an "old" design, but to me that's the coolness about it. I loved it back then, and still love it now. And not only I have the CM T-800 with the Riffle, but I also have the 1:1 Riffle. ;)

From what I heard its not that impressive, it’s just doesn’t look real or similar to the current more detailed T-800 that are out in the market. It looks unfinished. That’s just my opinion, but if you like it and can buy it then get it as long as you’re happy with it. I am sure that someone in the future will release an even better more impressive 1:1 model of the T800.:thumbs2:

What does one do when one wants a 1:1?

The pics and vid I`ve seen here look real good. I know some props can look like crap in person but look ok in pics.

Has anyone documented the differences? I dont need it to be 100% as I doubt anyone will make one full size anytime soon with this already satisfying a large part of the market.

Thanks for the reply. Since I do not yet have this piece in hand what are the dimensions for the acrylic case that i would need. For those who have the endoskeleton displayed in one which one did you get. Thanks.

You will need a case that is at least 50cm wide, by at least 40cm deep by at least 67cm tall. The extra width is caused by the right gun arm protruding.

50x50x70 is a good size case and will fit any CM so far wth the exception of the Alien. For that you would need 65x65x85.

You're gonna ask me what that is in inches now aint ya?

There is a thread here somewhere started by stretchbaldy which doecuments what size peope have for all their cases (cap70, MK Ultra etc.) But the dimensions I give above suited me best and make my newcases look uniform in size. I cannot post any pics of them right now, as I won't have them in hand for at least another week.
