Doomsday Statue

DC should make a fs statue of Doomsday. Think it will make a kickass statue. It appeared in IC issue #7 and the IC one-off special Villians United. Anyone here second my proposal? :)

the bookends look pretty good but the Superman doesn't look as good as the Superman statue sculpted by Tim Bruckner.

if sculpted well, I'm sure a Doomsday statue would sell fast even if the edition size is 4 or 5000. :)

A Doomsday would be terrific if it was made on the same scale as the Bowen Juggernaut statue. It's a shame the Shiflett Bros can't get a crack at it.

I have only bought Marvel statues and busts, but I would ABSOLUTELY buy a Doomsaday statue!! He was awesome in the death of Superman story. :buttrock:

dc has great sculptors who are not allowed to make anything but superman,batman and occasionally gl.
i don't think the day will come when we'll see doomsd and in the right size. he should be atleast 15 inches tall. but dc doesn't know that statues can be made in 1/6th scale and affordable.

yup. a Doomsday statue should be in scale with a BD Juggernaut or Hulk statue.

I say we should quit trying to talk DCD into doing a huge Doomsday statue, and start trying to talk Byron into sculpting a huge Doomsday resin kit for Koma Designs. The KD kits are all in a massive 1/6th scale (they've already done the Hulk, the Thing, Absorbing Man, and the Abomination, along with a lot of JLA heroes), and Doomsday in that format would be a jaw dropper. Sure, you'd have to assemble six pieces or so and paint it yourself, but it would be worth it. Take a look at Byron's Abomination kit on amoktime.com ... and just imagine Doomsday done the same way.

I have this one but Supes broke off at the the ankles. Don't really know what to do with it now, it would need a repaint to bring it up to modern standards.

i agree with dr. pym. we all know dc wont do him. if they do it wont be in scale. he should be at least as big as thanos (bd) if not bigger. id like to see an attemt at some other stats customized into doomsday.

Glad to hear that you're working on this. I remember the earlier version you were working on for a friend that was absolutely spectacular. I think it was in pink super sculpey even! I'm sure this version will be even more successful, I look forward to seeing it!
