Met fans are pretty quiet. They're probably waiting to see what happens tonight versus the Yankees. Met fans are so spineless. Thats why Met fans get me sick. Yankee fans should chant Boston sucks in the middle of the game tonight just to be ass bags. :eplus2:

Bro you won't hear from them until they win a game. What kills me is that their going to say it was because bum ass Nady & Delgado were hurt. Meanwhile both series so far the Yankees have been totally crippled. This is just as bad probably worse than last time. This time Sheff, Matsui and Cano are out. Last time Sheff was there but wasn't 100%.
IMO the Mets look better than they really are because the NL is so weak. They remind me of the Cards. The Cards have been winning 100 games every year for nothing. They mess up in the NLCS and when they made it to the series the Sawx smacked em'. Allot of Met fans love to say how the Yankees are in trouble. You guys are in just as much trouble and worse is you don't even realize it. You guys better make a move for a 3rd starter if you have any hopes of winning the series. The Cards starters get hot and you may not get out of the NL. As good as the Mets lineup is it's not as strong as a full strength Yankee lineup. Mets better hope those bats are hot going into the playoffs because no way in hell are Pedro and Glavine going to pull a Schilling/Johnson Arizona routine and carry the Mets to a title. Chances are slim to none.

Thats the difference between Yankee fans and Met fans. They were so pumped when they signed Wagner - "oh he's as good as Mo and he's the Sandman", give me a flipp'n break. He chokes against the Yankees and they want to trade him already. Wright goes on a tear and A-Rod has a bad month and all of a sudden Wright is better than A-rod. These ass bag Met fans at my job have been talking non-stop all day every day, Mets this Mets that, nady this nady that, Wright is better than A-rod, I wouldn't trade Wright for A-rod. Dude the last 3 days they haven't said a word bro not one single word. It's hilarious. Another one that left them speechless was a poll that ESPN put up. The poll was what place do you think the Met's would come in if they were in the AL east - First, Second, Third or Worse. Bro it was 3rd & 2nd place by a landslide compared to first place votes. The winner was 3rd place with 36%, 1st place was 23%. I'm sure those 23% were bunch of jabronis in somewhere in Queens and a few lost guys in Jersey.

Yo the guys in my job are such typical delusional Met fans that they were actually trying to compare the loss of Floyd and f'n Nady to us losing Matsui and Sheffield. :banghead: Can you believe that? Nady is a bench player in 29 other teams and Floyd was ice cold until recently how is it the same? I give the Yanks allot of credit for hanging in there with all the injuries and bad pitching in the toughest division in baseball. Don't get me wrong I give the Mets credit too. They beat the teams they're supposed to beat which allot of other good teams don't do including our Yankees but thus far they have looked like a .500 team against the better teams. They won a series against us and the Blue Jays and that's pretty much it. They didn't look too good against the Cards, they haven't dominated the Reds and the Orioles took 2 out of 3 and the Sawx smoked em'. I'll say it again if the Yanks were in the NL they would win 110+ games every year.

1). The bandwagon fans which most are! (couldn't even tell you who the 3B coach is).

You Met fans are celebrating Red Sawx victories now? How sad. You like bringing up the past? How about being the Braves eternal sons, how about getting spanked in the series by the Yankees? How about celebrating wins in May like they just clinched the pennant? How about the super cornball fans chanting Yankees suck during games against the Nationals? David Wright jumping around like a retard for hitting a glorified sacrifice fly. You would have thought he hit a walk off hr they way he was jumping around like Fisk. What a ass bag.
The truth is as great as the Mets have supposedly been were always 3 - 7 games difference in record most of time time its more like 3 or 4 and we play in the toughest division top to bottom in baseball. The Mets appear to be better than they are because the NL is so damn weak. Like I said you guys don't pick up a 3rd starter I can guarantee you won't win it all.

Come on you know that blown calls can change the momentum of a game and even a series. Ask Jeffrey Meyer or what even the little punks name was. Ask the O's fans. I'm being realistic about it.

I've never heard that defense. There is nothing that would have helped the Mets that year. You guys were out gunned and had no pitching. You can't blame that loss on the umps, come on bro.
We bad breaks too in that series against the Sawx but it is what it is, we choked. We had Rivera on that mound 2 times and could have closed it out be we didn't. Man up, the Mets got spanked in 2000.
I think the Mets are in trouble come playoff time. Pedro & Glavine can't and won't do it alone. Unless the Met's bats are on super fire their pitching won't be enough. If the Yankees get decent pitching and our line up comes back healthy in time for the playoffs we have a chance.

You sound like one of the few sane Met fans. Hey I'm not saying they suck, they're a very good team but their record and dominance in that horrible division makes them look better than they are. Martinez & Glavine are 6 inning pitchers and it's not going to get better as the season goes longer and the rest of the starters suck. Won't be enough to beat any AL team that makes it and if the Cards starters wake up they're going to be tough to beat. I think the Mets can slug there way to the series but that won't cut it in the series against a White Sox, Red Sox or even a full power Yankee lineup.
What pisses me off is the delusional Mets fans talking craziness. This one retard called in one of these radio shows and said that David Wright is a better clutch post season hitter than A-Rod meantime Wright hasn't had 1 post season at-bat. :banghead:

I mean for all that trash talk on A-Rod and his stats minus BA are the same as the "great" David Wright and that's with A-Rod under achieving. A-Rods playing sub-par ball and he's still as good as Wright. Any Met fan that says they wouldn't want Arod on the Mets is lying and any Met fan that think Wright is better than Alex is smoke'n some serious stuff.

Wright is not a super star like A-Rod but to be quite honest for the money I'll take Wright any day over A-Rod. 25.6 Mil to 3- 4K. :thumbs2:

You see your my type of fan. I could talk or debate baseball with you all day because you unlike most Met fans have your 2 feet firmly placed in reality.
Wright is a stud and is a star but he still has more to go before reaching Arod status. He's barely reaching Delgado status.
Thumbs up to you dude. :thumbs2:

Not only are we as good as the Mets were better, that's right better. If we were in the NL we would have at least 10 more wins than the Mutts. They don't suck but their not as great as these Met fans swear they are. For all the BS talk of how great they are and how they're better than the Yankees we have never been separated by that many games. I think the most was like 6 games and that was during that undeated road trip against teams that would have 15 wins in the AL.

If you follow them closely you would realize they usually slump around the all star break and the last two weeks of the season. Also they don't start off good every year, they are always a slow team out the the gate.
The Mets had a great start but they are not built to win this year. Yes I said it. Given the optimism this year most would think the Mets are already sized up for rings.
Omar knows what he's doing and it's going to take a few years. While I agree most of the pieces are in place, the puzzle is not complete. Our main concern is the starting rotation as is the rotation & middle relief for the Yanks.
New York being a win now city will only see one team make it to the playoffs this year. But no ring from either side of the house.

Hell I say they do have what it takes to get to the play offs,Hell even the World Series. If they keep playing the way they do and play small ball, getting hits here, pushing in runs, they can make it all the way.Thats what killing us as the Yankees. We are always trying to hit home runs and not using the the fundamentals of baseball.Im no Met fan but I'll Rep a New York team.

Not me, I thought I could give the Mets some love but I can't do it. F the Mets.
I think the Yankees have a way better chance than the Mets. The Yankees lineup at full strength is crazy. With that line up and Mussina and Wang all we need is 1 of our other starters to get lucky and we have a chance. The Mets on the other hand need their lineup to be super hot and then they need another decent starter which they don't have plus they need their bullpen to be solid because Pedro and Glavine only pitch 6 innings, too much to ask and Omar and people who know baseball like 1178 know this.

On a serious note I wonder if the Mets will trade Milledge for pitching? I would. Doesn't look like he's going to be as good as he's supposed to be. If the Mutts could pry Willis from Florida for Milledge and players to be named later they should. Milledge is going to be a good player but he won't be worth the problems he's going to bring. He wasn't even up from the minors for 2 months and he was already doing retarded stuff. He going to have Manny's attitude but not Manny's bat, I say trade em' if you could get a player like Willis.
I just hope the Yankees don't trade Cano or the whole farm to get a 35 year old pitcher.

Willis for Milledge sounds like a good deal for the Mets but I don't think it will happen. Here's why I think it won't happen:
1. Lastings is supposed to replace Floyd who will become a free agent. I don't see Floyd coming back especially when the Mets control Lastings salary for the next few years.
2. The Marlins asking price will be much higher than Milledge alone and Omar will not be in a rush to trade the Mets top prospects (not that there are any really left) especially after the Kazmir fiasco.
Oh and for the record....Cano and any young player on the Yanks farm system is not safe once old Gearge decides to go and overpay for a player he wants. The only ones that are safe are the contracts that he won't be able to move (i.e Giambi, A-Rod, & anyone else that makes more than the Florida Marlins).
