No if you notice in some of the pics. I had to remove shelves to fit fs like thor and moonknight. I just use those extras to double the shelves. The thanos silver surfer pic is also double.

Man that's a nice setup, you got some pieces in there I dream about and I've got just about all of them.
I'm only missing CSS and GB in mini's, but since I've seen yours, I'm missing quite afew FS's.
Great shots, working on my new display room now, going to use the glass blocks, as seen in jesse321's display's.

Very nice display and having a complete Bowen collection is an accomplishment.

Just one question, Retro Iron Man and Cap with a modern Black Panther. Why?

You can also buy extra shelves from Ikea. Not too sure if they have the exact Detolf shelf, but I'm sure they have another that would fit it. They even have some thicker shelves than the Detolf comes with. Just have to look at the seperate pieces they have available.

Very nice collection and setup, by the way. So, what's your address, and when might you be on vacation next? :wink2:

Nah, the Detolfs will only take 3 glass shelves(included) and the bottom shelf which is really the wooden base. There is no way, short of welding in another metal shelf support, to add another shelf.

I tried to move my Chrome SS from the bottom shelf, but I couldn't get it to fit on any other shelf, it was too tall

I use extra ruber parts you put under glass and double the top shelve. Like this the shelve over the SS was higher giving me the room i needed to place SS. Check out pics.

Pay that insurance premium, man!

But the setup does look nice! Reminds me of my old setup.

The glass weigth limmit per shelve is 13lbs. so i have two glass shelve together, double the strenth.

ok but i see that alot of pp here do that but how much weigth can the metal bars hold? there is a limit right?

They have for me. That's why I nixed the Detolfs. Thank God though that it was the lowest shelf. I could just picture my Attakus Elektra (or Cry for Dawn, I forget which one fell) crashing through all three shelves and taking everything with it!

I think they are just stock glass that you can get at any framing or hardware store. I don't remember them being tempered or anything.

I love my detolfs, but this thread has me worried a bit lol. I don't have any two FS on one shelf, but I have things like 1 FS and three minibusts on a shelf, and, in other places, six minibusts with three of them on risers. This shouldn't be a problem, should it?

Dont listen to alot forum doubters. I have three fs on one shelve, you can see it for yourself. Its been displayed like this for almost two years. The average fs doesn't weight that much, your talking about 3 to 5 pounds if that. Detolf is rated for 13 lbs per shelve. Just use good judgement in your display. Dont put juggy and sabretooth fs and five mb together, to much weight. Good luck.

I see what you have done with the doulbe glass thing....I think its a good idea although like others I don't trust the welds. Having said that would it not look better if the 2 Moonkghts were on top so you could use those other 2 spaces when more pieces arrive? Just curious what you think since you are standing in front of them. I am trying to decide how to use my cases right now and am having trouble negotiating how to use them. I only have 2 Detolfs but was thinking of getting more. Also nice collection. I thought I was doing well on Bowen pieces until I saw your collection. Nice!!!

There are two reason the 2moonknights are displayed in that way. One there both too heavy to diplay together on a high shelve. Two the Thor fs is tall so i cant display a glass shelve over him. So i display both tall fs thor/mk together, like this i save on room. As for the welds, there tough to break. I dont think 10 or 13 lbs will break them. By the way thanx for props on my collection. Alot of my friends an family dont understand why i collect. So getting some positive feedback is allways welcome :thumbs2: . Keep collecting an your collection will look this good if not better :buttrock: .

Oh Yeah I wil keep going but with everything coming out I gotta be selective. I have about 35 Bown Full size pieces (with a couple more on the way) but again my attention is split between Bowen, Sideshow and Gentle Giants so I gotta pick more carefully now. Also we just moved into a new place so the mortagage is killig me. Again congrats..it looks great!
