They both look great.
Maybe one of them should have been a museum pose so you could display next to other FS without one being so high up.

Unless you didplay with Moon Knight since his base is pretty tall :laugh:

I know Eric posted shot during sculpting and he was using JC's spiderman to ensure the pieces match. I tihnk it will be a very good verison of the green goblin

i just hate the wooden base on this piece, wish they would have just made the fire and smoke cover the base or something, just don't like the wood showing... the base looks like something my mom would have in the house from Home Interiors or something...

I think that the new Goblin is a much more dynamic pose than the original.
The new Goblin is also much more menacing. The original looked a tad cartoonish.

I picked up the New Goblin on a Pre-Sale so I'll let you know how it is when I get it.

I have the 1st one, and I think to be fair you at LEAST have to have a pic of the ACTUAL statue and not the stock photo. It's no much different, but it certainly isn't tilted like that.

I think I'm gonna have to pass on this one too. no where to put it, that's the main reason why I didn't get the first. and with the bases so similar, that's another turn off there. on second thought, everything is basically the same!!!!!

I don't see how you can say it's the same! Not to but down the 1st one, but the new one is at a whole different level! It's the BEST Goblin statue that I've ever seen(except for the missing satchel!). I HATE the new Goblin costume that Marvel has used the past few years. Thank God Bowen decided to go with the classic, Romita-style! I love the base. I love everything about this statue. Another company made a huge Goblin a year or so ago, but it doesn't come close to capturing his essence or look like this latest Bowen. After the Hulk, this is the statue I am looking forward to the most!

The base should had been fire & smoke not with the black base topping it off.

I said basically the same statue. anytime I have to do a " doubletake" on a statue or a MB and see if there is any differences, I call that basically. I think the new one, the arm is back further, right? it's a nice sculpt, down get me wrong but it' very close to the original.

I think that the new Goblin piece is much better than the original, but I passed on it. I don't care much for the character and haven't ever been blown out of the water by any Goblin piece to where I'd have to buy it.

Seriously...here's the two Bowen ones together. How can you even compare the first one to the new one? Look how silly the pumpkin looks on the first one for example! Bowen sculptures are light years ahead of what they used to be!

I agree that it is similar (not close) to the 1st one, but it is much better (more detailed), has a better base, and for those that missed out on the 1st one (like me), this is the perfect opportunity to get one. I am definitely down for this one, and am glad I missed the first one. You know something, I still think the best Spiderman FS I have seen to this day, is the Spidey standing on top of the building looking over (by BD of course). I think this Green Goblin would go much better with that statue than the first one. As a matter of fact, I think all the Spidey villian FS statues that are either out or coming out go best with that statue.

I have the first one and the second is on order. The new GG statue has a lot more detail, plus its in size with the rest of the FS. Bring on the Spidey villians!

I passed on the first one and definitely will be getting the second one. Never liked the first one and thought, along with Elektra, the weakest from the Bowen line.

This one really rocks!! I'll be getting this one without a doubt! Personnaly I find it better than the first one...More realistic and impressive especially his face and skin.

Green Goblin & Abomination are my favorite villains. It's nice to see I'll finally have one of them as a FS!

I would consider getting this one if the base was different. If I recall correctly the base on the sneak was the side of a building, which would have been better than using the same base as the previous statue.

Why does the wood base bother so many of you? I think it looks classy!
