Me to, I dont know wich one to choose.

I just picked him up from my LCS during my lunch break. I didn't get a chance to take a pic next to anoth BD FS for scale but will do that later tonight unless someone else beats me to it.

I KNOW I'm going to get SO much crap for this .. BUT

Is there something just a tad off about how the head and cape are sitting on shoulders? :sly2: It seems to be sitting too high.

Yeah, Jesse, that bothered me as well but it's nicely done otherwise. Same with Dr. Strange IMO...

So both Modern and Classic are runs of 1,000? Also, did anyone else who ordered one of these from Bowen get a UPS tracking #? I haven't yet, but it seems like most of them have already shipped.

Looks great and can't wait to get it. Jesse I can see some of what you are taling about but I don't think it takes away from the sculpt and I don't think most will notice it.

I noticed it, too. But given the rest of the sculpt I think I can overlook it.

Jesse,
You are right on the money with that!! I also feel like the entire sculpt just lacks something? It's kind of "soft" as far as the detail. It was a MAJOR disappointment to me. I waited for this statue for years hoping it would some day be made and now sadly I have to say it has come and I for one was very disappointed. That being said I'm not knocking those of you that like it. I always say.........buy what you like. I will not be buying this!!

I like the Modern and will try to pick it up. I wonder if the runs on this piece will effect their value...not that value matters...just curious to see which way it will go.

IT's an ultimate companion piece for Thanos FS, the demand will go up and you know.... :eplus2:

Dear God....can you at least explain this latest criticizm? I don't see what you are talking about.

Thanks

AlLook at the indentation on the pecs .. that's where the charm pinning his cape together should be sitting .. the cape, head and shoulders are one piece and they rest on the unheaded shoulders of the torso, but it's sitting too high.

I'll try to get one of the paint shop pros on here to fix it and show you what I mean.

Al-I think you meant Dear Pimp. ;)

I must not look at my statues that closely. That being said the Adam Warlock statues are awesome and I can't wait to get both of them.

I like the modern version much better. This one is a tad bit dull in paint and style. The modern is definatley the way to go with better paint, the guantlet, and that staff.

Either way, glad I passed on both. But the modern actually had me kinda wanting it. This one does nthing for me.

Well it looks fine to me. I just think it is a thick cape. These were ones that I was looking forward to and am very pleased with. Can't wait to get mine. :buttrock:

I wish there were a bit more "starlin" to it... I have no interest in the modern, I'm waiting on the classic from BD, but the overall sculpt of both versions seems more in line with the modern Infinity-style and the classic suffers a bit...

Well, you explained it better, but I tried to point out this problem a long time ago in this post (http://www.statueforum.com/showpost.php?p=503265&postcount=9)

I see what you mean Jesse. It does make a big difference IMO as well. What can you do? These are the only generally released Warlock statues to date so there's really nothing else to choose from. Also, where can you get a fully painted Warlock statue assembled and painted for about $100? I'll live with it for now or until I pick up enough skills to shorten his neck myself a bit..... :eplus2:

Ebay. If you have good timing some sellers will put 1 up at a buy it now price of $94.99 or $99.99. It doesn't hurt to ask sellers that have a "or best offer" link under the price.

You know you do not have to use the insert image button, the link to the host server should do it.

Technically a good sculpt but I have to question whoevers decision it was over at Marvel to have peach leggings and a yellow cape liner. What a horrible colour combination

It was the 70's. That is all.

Anyhow, I still like this Warlock better, even though the modern version is the one I grew up with. I will be getting this classic version soon.
