Because you asked for it, the return of the Marvel Universe bust polls!

For those of you who missed them the last time, these polls will run about one or two per week asking for which characters you would want to be made available by Bowen Designs. Vote for all your favorites.

All characters will be selected from the Master Edition of the Marvel Universe Handbook and have yet to be produced as busts from Bowen.

Good to see these back, Tet. Looking forward to the Book of the Dead, and how gleefully inaccurate it will be..

I didn't know there was a female MODITE. If it were possible, I would rescind my vote. I would vote for a MODOK not a MODAM.

I might be misremembering this, but that MODAM may even be Hank Pym's first love (first wife?). I seem to remember some back-up Pym stories investigating that, in which MODAM was involved...

On edit, I looked it up. Wikipedia says: MODAM had been mutated into a large headed creature, and she was believed to be Henry Pym's first wife, Maria Troyvana. She first appeared in West Coast Avengers #36. Pym took her in, believing she was his late wife, but she was secretly a spy and returned to AIM. There, she was further mutated into a being nearly identical in appearance to MODOK called SODAM (Specialized Organism Designed for Aggressive Maneuvers), which later was changed to (Mental Organism Designed for Aggressive Maneuvers). In Iron Man #296, Omega Red revealed that MODAM was not Maria Troyvana; her real name was Olinka Barankova.

I voted for Dormammu, Corsair, and Blud Shield. BS got my vote based strictly on his costume. I kind of like it.

Dormammu would be it from this group for me, I wouldn't mind a Corsair, but only as long as the rest of the Starjammers are done.

Dormammu is the only one I have any interested in, but there's many others characters who deserve busts before him (Banshee first comes to mind).

Corsair would be a nice addition to the X-Men line-up and we do have a Gladiator (shiar version) on the way so why not....Cyclops and Havok have been orphans for too long

It doesn't have to be. Honestly putting up the DC stuff is a little depressing knowing that there is less than a 1% chance of the obscure (but cool) DC characters being made. At least with Bowen Designs, you never know when a Phantom Rider or Fin Fang Foom might be thrown in.

The main reason behind asking if people wanted MB instead of FS, is that people in general would be far more willing to drop $50.00 on a bust than $200.00 for a FS of the same character.

The polls can be seen as being for any sculpt of the particular character, be it MB or FS.

I voted for Dormammu and Llyra.

That's right. Llyra!! She did kill Namors wife/girlfriend after all. (Memory is dim, and I can't remember whether Namor actually married Dorma or not.) Besides, I need more hot chicks in my display cabinet. Even blue/green ones!! :laugh:

I considered Midnight Sun and Nebulon. But hey, there's a ton of other characters I'd much rather see.

90 voters so far. Not too bad for the first poll. Even the last time these things got more popular with time. The less than stellar cast didn't help either. Dormammu in a commanding lead followed by None of the above in second place. :)

The next one is better (but not a lot better) in terms of choice. :redface:

I voted for Corsair only. I wouldn't mind a Dormamu bust, but after seeing how Super Skrull's flame hand came out, I don't want to see something similar happen.:thumbsdow

I've liked Nebulon ever since reading a reprint of Defenders Vol I, Issue 14.

Great spaceborn character. Good story too. Introduced me to the Squadron Sinister (that reminds me these guys would make cool busts as well). Nebulon also showed up some time later and was behind a Defenders/ Avengers battle that was pretty cool.

Thanks Tet. I haven't read that one yet, but as soon as my Defenders run is complete I'll get there! He's pretty cool, but doesn't have many appearrances.

Looks like the big guy from the Dark Dimension is running away with this one.

Dormammu by far and away is on my first tier wish list. THis would be a really cool bust IMO.

Corsair would make a colorful bust and he is Cyclops' Father.

Maybe Nebulon, but that is it from this list.

MODOK, please, not MODAM.
