Congratulations to the Detroit Shock! They won the Womens National Basketball Association (WNBA) Championship for the second time in four years!
It was a great tournament. MVP Deanna Nolan, Coach Bill Laimbeer and the rest of the team and organization did Detroit proud.

ESPN segment had a WNBA analyst proclaim that behind the Pistons, the Shock was Detroit's pride and joy.
I'd wager that the Rede Wing, Tiger, and even Lions' fans would beg to differ with the 12 Shock fans.

I agree
Been to Detroit, they call it Hockeytown for a reason.
Most places I went it was all about the Red Wings.
Go to Pittsburg and it's all about the Steelers.
