This will be my first review so bare with me guys:)

The Logan PF was my first intro to Sideshows PF line. I've been in love ever since.

There's always been talk that this rendition of Logan is a love it or hate it kind of thing. I gotta say I love it though. I wasn't totally convinced when I looked at the pictures of it, but once I saw it in person, I was very happy with how it looked.

SCULPT

This was sculpted by Andy Bergholtz. I'm a huge fan of Andy's work and this was my first taste of his talent. The head sculpt on this guy is crazy. He's got a HUGE brow and very long eyebrows. Very exaggerated. His eyes are farther apart than they should be. His hair is out of control ..just really big. Despite these things or maybe because of them, I really love how it looks. His head is just a work of art. No two ways about it. He oozes attitude. The hands are well done and match the quaility of the head nicely. The arms are soft and slightly posable which can be good or bad depending on how you feel about that kind of thing. My only problem with the soft arms is that the biceps are too big and you can see a buldge in the sleeve that looks unnatural. Not a big deal.

FABRIC

The fabric work is also very well done. Because this was my first PF I wasn't sure how the fabric would work, but I was happily surprised with how nice it looked. I'm no expert on fabric work, but I can still appreciate quality when I see it. I was especially impressed with the jeans. The way they truly look like miniature jeans and not normal size fabric cut in the shape of small pants. The folds and seams look just the way you'd expect them to on real clothes. Only downer was the way the belt kinda wobbles around. It's just a little loosed and doesn't look like it's really holding up the pants. Minor complaint.

PAINT

Awesome. That's the first thing that comes to mind. I really love the paint job here. The hairline especially impressed me. It's gotta be some of the cleanest paint apps I've ever seen. The eyebrows also got alot of love and attention. The eyes are beautifully rendered and the lips have the perfect shade of pink to them. Totally amazed by the paints.

Overall, I'd give this piece a 9 out of 10. The only thing that stops me from giving it a 10 is the pose itself. His head is turned at an extreme angle making display a challenge. You almost have to turn his body completely sideways to get a nice shot of his face. You will also want to display him high if possible, because of the angle of his head, his eyes and facial features get obscured when looking at him from a slightly downward angle.

As most of you know...this piece is out of scale from the rest of the 1/4 PFs. He's very tall at 19.5 inches. If that's not an issue with you, I highly recommend this piece.

Thanks for lookin:thumbs2:

One more for you to see a size comparison. This is the only Bowen I own.

Nice review snappahead. I didn't know Logan was so much taller than bowen statues - nice pictures.

Just wondering if you had any problems with Logans arms detaching from his body when repositioning them?

Nice review of a very underappreciated piece. Andy B definitely knows how to sculpt. Now if he could only dance. :thumbs2:

Yes! Someone commented on my review LOL. Wasn't sure if anyone would.

C_ort..I was extremely careful when moving his arms. I've heard..from Andy himself, that the arms can snap right off if your'e not careful. So, I held on to his upper arm right tight when I was moving them...Unfortunately, you really have to wrench them back hard to get them to stay in a pose. I had to bend the crap out of his left arm just to get it to stay in a somewhat straight position. It has a way of retracting alot after you bend it.

Hey Zurb...agreed. It's too bad that more people didn't like this piece. It's one of my favorites from the Marvel PF line. And word has that Andy can dance his a$$ off. He just chooses not to.

LOL..I agree. I couldn't resist getting it. Even though I've bought many pieces since this, it's still my favorite statue so far. Something about it just works so well for me. Glad you liked it too.

I really like this piece as well. I think one of the things that makes the forehead look so big is the way the sideburns frame his lower face. If the 'burns weren't there, it would appear to be more in scale.

thanks for the extra pics, Speedracer. I'm glad to see other folks giving this piece some props. It was my first PF and it hooked me on them like nobody's business. Great statue all around.

I like the paint work you added to your's too. Nice job!
