Just thought it would be interesting to know who is a Hard Hero Completist around these parts? I am for one and have a major collection of Hard Hero statues from all their various lines except the X-Men Animated Line.
I have all the Transformers FS Statues and most of the busts except for Optimus, Megatron, Shockwave, Cyclonus, and Ultra Magnus (the latter two will be purchased from comicstatues.com directly).
I have the King Kull and Snake Pit Ken Kelly FS Statues (I had Conan at one time and sold him two months ago. Yeah I know I am an idiot for doing so:stick: )
I currently own all Marvel statues (Captain America should be on his way to me) and waiting for D-Rod to get those Variant The Things that I already ordered and paid for.
Like I said, I am in the long haul with HH. I will definitely be a HH Marvel Completist for as long as I am alive and they continue to make statues (correction; as long as Seth Vandable makes the statues for them :buttrock: ). I would get the Conan and Red Sonja too if they were not so darned expensive now. With the Transformers, it is only a matter of time before I get the rest of the busts. For now, keep going Hard Hero. You pepes keep up the quality, I give you my money. Glad you guys release statues once every blue moon though. Helps on my wallet, especially when I get stuff from other companies too like BD and NECA (He-Man and Masters of the Universe FS statues and mini statues and busts). Thanks for keeping my childhood memories and childlike attitude of life alive.:thumbs2:

Just the U.S. Marvel statues for me. It doesn't look like I'm going to be a completist, though. I have no interest in the Red Iron Fist. I will most likely get every release, with the exception of repaints.

I have all HH Marvel so far and will be staying for the long haul. Passed on the exclusive Hulk and waiting for the exclusive Thing to ship. Still on the fence for the Iron Fist red but definitely will go for the exclusive Iron Man. Recently just got into the Marvel European exclusive and most likely will be collecting the whole line. Also have all HH Conan, Snake Pit, and Red Sonja and the complete Xmen Evolution line.

No completist here. I just buy the ones I like from every company. My collection has pieces from HH, SS, BD, DS, as well as some custom pieces. So far I only have the grey Hulk from HH, but I have Iron Man on order.

I second that. Boy, it would just about kill me (figuratively) if Seth stopped sculpting for HH. I've already been left in the cold by HH before when they did not pick up the Transformers license again. Aaaarrrgggghhhh! I'm still feeling the pain. Hard Hero really left me with blue balls with that one.:tounge: So I really hope they don't stop this line and I wish another Fantasy character would be made. Sorry Rob and Seth. I know you guys have tons on your plate already.

I got all 14 TF busts..so I could say that line is complete. I would have wanted the statue of Prime and MEgs ..but they are hardley any on ebay u only see Palisades and I prefer HH look as it is more cartoon accurate.

Bruticus smart, Bruticus most correct one on the planet. Arrrggghhh! See that's what pisses me off. If you want to talk about a line that still hasn't even been touched (even though HH and Palisades and Diamond have done Transformers) they all have barely scratched the surface. What happened to the Aerialbots, Stunticons, Omega Supreme, Combaticons, Skyfire, the Dinobots, Red Alert, Sunstreaker, Mirage, Inferno, Ratchet, Rumble, Etc., etc. etc. I could go on and on how these companies did not or do not take advantage of the license when they had it! What the #$*& man. I swear to God, right now, if I ever come into a lot of money, I will start my own company, get the license, and finally do what is perhaps the greatest cartoon and toyline ever (80's version) justice.
I FEEL (even though it might not be true) that HH really got out of this license too early. They had the best sculptor for the TF line in Jason Ray. The movie (whether good or bad) is coming out and will spark interest in the line. Most importantly, there are so many characters that were more popular than the Insecticons and Rhinox, they just chose the wrong characters to do first. As you can see, Optimus, Megatron, and Bumblebee FS statues were the hottest sellers probably. Why? Because they were the most popular! A Starscream, Shockwave, Soundwave, Devastator for the Decepticons could have been done. ON the Autobots side, a Cliffjumper, Brawn, Sunstreaker and Sideswipe, Prowl, Hound, or Blaster could have been done. I won't even go into the teams or Omega Supreme! Too much to choose from.
Anyways, what's done is done. But I have a feeling, if the movie is a hit (which I do doubt, with the movie studio changing the look of the characters around and stuff), The Transformers can become a hot commodity again. I can only hope!

You mean the one done by Palisades? If that is what you mean, yes, it is priced in the low $200 range. It stands about 14" tall and I must admit, it looks dogone good. Palisades is no more though. Finding that statue is limited as only 450 were made. Check it out on Ebay if you are interested. There are pics of him up there. Awesome indeed. I would get one, but, I have some other gems to get, mainly the preorder for that new Kiani Fathom statue coming out early next year. Man, that has to easily be one of the best looking statues of all time. Wow! :buttrock:

I see your point loricstone but the TF fandom is more joyfull when they get toys that transform. ME myself that only collects G1 vintage and G1 reissues/exclusivs , dont buy this new stuff as it dosent appeal to me the same way as the old TFs did. I would have loved for HH to dish out a few more bust but for some reason TF busts and statues is a veru hard market do get ppl into ass for example most TF ppl would rather spend $50-60 on a loose complete starscream then $45 on a bust that dosent transform. TO bad though I would have wanted a few more combiner busts in the same size as Dev.

You have a very valid point, and you are right. Its just frustrating when you start buying a line of statues, only to have it stop all of a sudden. Its true that the whole idea of a Transformer is the ability to transform it. I wonder if it would be possible to do what I call a Trans Stat Former (composed of solid resin arms, legs, etc. combined with movable metallic joints that could be transformed, and then posed as either a robot or transformed mode. It would still have the material of a traditional statue, but have durable and long lasting metallic joints that would allow the statue to transform.
This is probably just wishful thinking, but I think it could be done. The only thing that would prevent someone from trying it would be the cost of doing it; especially in a bulk format. They are darn close to this now with the Diecast FS metal Transfomers made in Japan. But as you can see, those babies cost at least $100 bucks and more a piece.

I actually did the same. I finally have a system worked out. I will buy Bowen statues that directly relate to Spiderman (Mysterio FS, Scorpion FS, Rhino FS, Green Goblin FS, etc.) and FS statues that relate to the X-MEN (Apocalypse FS, Rogue FS, Iceman FS, etc.). I of course will still be a HH Marvel completist even if they come out with some of the same Spiderman and X-Men characters. :thumbs2:
