It was a great game. Mets tried their best to lose it though. Glad they held on.

Would be a perfect night, but with the rain delay I'm won't get to stay for the entire Yankees game :banghead:

That was great. On the News last night Len Berman showed an almost identical play 21 years ago, also during the Mets post-season back then. The Mets were on the wrong end that time and Carlton Fisk was the catcher.

The Mets are starting to show their weakness (starting pitching). It didn't look good yesterday and it probably wont be any better with Oliver Perez on the mound today :banghead:

Just proves the old cliche is right....good pitching beats good hitting. We definitely need to obtain starting pitching over the winter but it will be hard this year especially with the Yankees and their pitching situation.

Tigers all the way bro. I hate the Mets and I’m still mad at the Cards for laying down against the Sawx. I don’t think neither of the two can beat the Tigers anyway, not the way they’re playing. Even at full strength I don’t think the Mets could’ve beat the Tigers. I know Met fans would disagree but even at full strength their staff is Glavine, Pedro, Hernandez & Trashcel. Not exactly the dream team – You got 2 six inning guys and the rest are guys that unreliable at best. Glavine & Pedro won’t be able to do to the Tigers what Schilling & young Big Unit did to the Yankees, no way.
