they will drop for a little bit but don't get used to it. There are a lot of dealers now that will want to make a quick profit off of them but once the market starts thinning out again they'll be right where they started.

THey will drop for now because they have flooded the market... But it will become much harder to get once collectors have them for keeps...

Yes, I certainly am. Should I be impressed with this astonishing results?
The only question in my mind is whether those auctions are being listed by chimps, or just people with the IQs of chimps? :eplus2:
THIRTY of the 500 Doops in existence are on eBay right now. That's 6%. If there were suddenly 120 Thor mini-busts on eBay, the market would suddenly go down on him, too.
There are laws of supply and demand, and the foolish people selling their Doops now have violated them. Once Doop has made his way to happy, loving collector homes in a month or so, and out of the hands of the scalpers who bought him just to sell, his price will go back up.
The more stupid people trying to cash-in quick all-at-once, the lower the price will be for now. I'm glad the imbeciles are all selling their Doops now into good collector hands, though--it definitely speeds up the process of young Doop becoming scarcer and regaining his value. :thumbs2:

Who are YOU to decide when people should sell their stuff?? I agree that people selling these all at once is going to cut into what they could get at a later date but to call people imbeciles and stupid is a bit rough, kay? The "goof" part of your name certainly comes through in your post!

Ya know, whether or not Doop is available on e-bay and what the price is presently is one issue, granted, but in my little mind, the bigger question is how people like mmcomics has 4 of them listed at the same time, or how citizen_of_mars has 3 listed but has already sold 2 others while another guy named m.t.s. has already sold 3 Doops. Makes me wonder how they got so many in the first place and how many more they are holding in reserve that aren't up for sale. I don't mind paying what I bid but it sure sucks that so many people were able to get so many of these items when I couldn't even get one. I understand why, I'm just *****en'.

This was not a club exclusive. It was hyped as limited to 500 and it sold out in one day. I recognize MMComics and am pretty sure they have a house account with Bowen. Given how things occurred, they were smart to pre-order what they could.
I understand your sentiments, and if it is done in the future I hope they limit it to one per customer, at least for the first week or two.

For all you economics professors...you're focusing on the supply part of the equation, but what about demand? Doop's price will drop because it's not a popular character and not a compelling sculpt.
Also, Where did the 'club exclusive' bulls*^$ come from? Doop wasn't an exclusive. I went on sale on Bowen site and sold out in a day after it was known only 500 would be sold.

Doop will always be at least a $150 bust... Plus it is NOT a variant there is only ONE Doop... No others... No brown variant, no chrome variant, no bearded variant... So it will eventually become a tough one to get! I'm not swyaing that it will go for Surfer prices but at least surfer has 2 versions, just like punisher and FFF... So Doop will always be a pricey bust... Especailly after htis flood of Doops end.

I agree, which I think was Ritz & Goof's major point. Basic economics had the first few go high, but now there is a glut. Once it was apparent that glut stage had arrived and it was not a renewable resource, if there were no other reason to sell other than making $, then holding onto the product until the glut cleared up would have been a wise thing to do.
I did not think they were telling people what to do, although words like stupid are always lightning rods. If you remove or find another way to phrase some of their word choices, their basic points were true, and you have nicely summed up why.

I'm thinking Doop will probably level out at around $250.00. This is a piece for the dedicated "completionists" among the Bowen Knights. Unless Randy plans to add more of Doops team mates to the fold, it will end up being a stand alone piece. I want one and am willing to pay $250.00 or more if necessary but I think the $350.00 they initially went for was due to hipe those early buyers will regret their eagerness.
By the way, anyone notice that the Storm bust is dropping in price? Any speculation as to why?

There are probably only a handful of completists left, and Doop is easy to let go. With so many versions of A-list characters from different companies plus the ever shirking display space, most collectors have to be picky with their choices.
