You are VERY talented, but I'd like to give you constructive criticizm as a fan...your sculptures are missing some kind of dynamic. They are a little too stiff looking. They would be on par with the best of them if you added more excitement to them. Does this make sense? The only reason I'm posting this is that I really think you have a future and I want to see you get better & better!

Peace!

Al

Hmm... looks like the War Machines are modified with re-positions of limbs only.

Frankly, I prefer the 1st, original design ...No offence intended

Still, fantastic sculpts ....

While any sculpt can be improved upon, and everyone has different tastes, isn't telling someone "they have a future" who is already a paid professional in his field a little condescending?

Am I just tired and making more out of this than needs to be made? If I am, just ignore me.

I'm a consumer. I wish I had a 1/4 of the talent any of these guys have! I just think constructive critisizm is important when someone is this talented! Sure, everyone loves a pat on the back, but is that always helpful? In some ways, yes, but pointing out weaknesses in a sculpters work that they can improve upon should be valuable to them. If I didn't think this guy was worth it, I would've kept my mouth shut.

Nah, you shouldn't! As I've said before, it's hard to interpret people's meanings on the net, since you can't hear their voice. You made me clarify, which is a good thing :)

Hey guys, thanks a lot for the nice comments! I had a blast sculpting them. They are all personal projects, I decided to go on my own for a while and go back to the ol' days when I sculpted the characters I wanted the way I wanted it instead of following a pre set sketch done by other in a commissioned piece, and then, oncethe piece was finished I would show it to Art Asylum or DST or Bowen according to sizes and preferences. I have a couple more sculpts I can't show you cause they are waiting Marvel approval now.
Some replies:
DD: no dude, didn't get it, please send it again!!
HYFAL: thanks for the suggestions dude, it is a matter of tastes and styles, but your comment was welcome.
Tetra: thanks for the back up amigo, no ofense taken but is good to know some folks are out there ready to defend!!!!!
Tony D: yes I showed him to Randy, he didn't picked it.
Scoots; yeah man, they are the same piece, the second version is a modified version 1. When I was almost finishng him, Hard Hero released pics of their amazing Iron Man statue, and the pose was the same I was doing with WW, so I changed it at last minute and I did it lying back, then a couple of friends told me he would look better if he was forwared, and I modified him again to be the version 2.
Again, thanks a lt for the support!

Alterton-
I hope you didn't take any offense man. You have great talent and I guess that's why you are paid professionally. I have just loved your wide variety of character choices and I just wanted to get across what "I" think would make them even better, but who cares what I think? I wish you continued success!

So have Taskmaster, War Machine and the Black Knight (sorry not a Sabretooth fan) been picked up for production by anyone? Bowen? DST? Model Kit?

I see what you mean Al, for sure, I also find them to be a little "stiff" but the guy is a pro and he just has his own style of sculpting which can work on some characters and not so well on others, its open to personal taste.

War Machine is gorgeous but Taskmaster made my heart skip a beat... I know it got damaged but please tell me that this will become a kit at some point - its simply the most beautiful rendering of the character I've ever seen

AWESOME!!!!!!

Extremely well done.

If I might give some feedback...............I mean that is why you great sculptors post here right????

Sabertooth. I am ALWAYS amazed how you skilled sculptors are able to show 'musculature' under cloth/costume. Does that make snese....cause I can't find better words to explain. I don't have reference pics. But this costume dosn't seem totally 'orginal version' of Sabertooth. I think the 'mane' on the sholders should be bigger/taller. Could be the angle. The area between the thumb and pointer finger seems to elongated.

Taskmaster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think the cape needs to be less static........like he just got in that position in the middle of a fight...so it would be more in 'motion'.

War Machine 1------!!!!!!!! LOVE .....LOVE......LOVE............LOVE.....the pose!!!!!!!!!!

THANKS so very much for sharing your work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
