ok, now that the official thread is up.:)

I just recently got interested in these a few weeks before Christmas, and liek anything that you know NOTHING about I was at Target and they had a TON out. I could have bought every one that is pictured ont he back of the cars if I wanted too. They were all there, I checked. Not knowing anythign I Assumed that the one character that came in three different colors would be one of the harder ones to get, but they had them all! ( They had a lot of NEW MATER. The wife and I commented several times about him as he was not featured in the movie. I thought he might be a hard one to find for that reason, but they had over half a dozen of them.~ I thought that the Hornet and non Hornet versions of the judge car would be hard too, but again, they had plenty. They only had one of the girls, and for some STUPID REASON I didnt get her.....:banghead: )

We bought a few, and I thought I could easily go back for more, but now I cannot find these anywhere!:banghead:

I just got the Radiator Springs race set for my son this past Christmas and I want to get some more CARS for him, (Even though Lightning seems to be the only one we have that actually works well in the track so far?)

My ultimate questions are:

Have THESE been released yet?

A two-pack of “Toy Story’s” Buzz and Woody, in car form.
A two-pack of “Monsters Inc.’s” Mike and Sully, in car form.
You also can buy a special carrying case that holds up to 16 cars.

and

are the CARS pictured on the back of the individual car packaging all that have been released thus far? Are there more on the way?

that is the question I am trying to resolve myself. I have all but two pictured on the back. I also have the two packs that I have seen on the shelves.

P1X4R has them all I think so he may be able to chime in ... I would love to get a comprehensive checklist going:thumbs2:

Ryche - you will kick yourself a lot for passing on an entire set ... I have been chasing these for a while and have never seen even close to an entire set on the rack at one time. I do think that the shelves will get flooded with these in the next week or so before being scarce again.

you are right - it is 1/24 scale ... it looks just like the little "pull-back" smaller version (hard to tell from the pic).

There is a "muddy" Lightning McQueen only available in that set. I yanked it and gave the girls several cars to use in place - LM and Sally work well with the set (Mater does not)

The store I work for got 25 cases in two weeks ago. But the shelf is totally empty now.
The case we received got New Mater and Ham, and we also received like 5 or 7 cases of double pack, got Woody and Buzz.
Too bad I didn't see this thread eariler or I can snag a few cases for you guys...:(

These are great, and I wish I had started collecting them. I found a few HTF vehicles like Lizzie & Sarge in Australia for a friend of mine.

Nope. Pic I saw posted did not focus on the error, looked just like the stock photo. Nothing on EBay either.

Could just be a goof with the sticker so its not truly a "variant" and I could see this happening to other cars.

Here's how. My son found the index I printed out (its got pictures) and proceeded to play with it (instead of his 1,000,000 toys).

His smile was huge and would have been no different if he were playing with an $80 McQueen as compared ot the piece of paper. Of course, he's only 2.

Went into that KMart when I first moved to JC. Good Lord, that is one of the most disgusting stores I have ever been inside of. Everything is just thrown about. And the prices are off the charts. Its like KMart Bizarro World. Everything - or most things - are supposedly 50% off, yet everything is priced approximately 75% higher than normal. And then the clientelle was a little intimidating to say the least. Heck the workers were that way as well.

You are a brave man for venturing in there. $10 bucks says you won't park your new car in that parking lot.

Got him at WalMart today. He stayed sealed in his package about 3 minutes, until we stopped at the car wash.

The 2 open air ones are the same truck... even the mack playset is the same truck other than the back... the 2 open ones just come with different cars...

I couldnt remember which ones were "hot" and which ones were common. SO, I went by the old..."what is there the least of" gane plan. they had a ton of New Maters, and a ton of Hamm's.. Only one Blue McQueen in the bunch so I grabbed him... there were some tiny guy I had never seen before (DJ I think), and a green car with a TON of stickers on it, but again..plenty of them!

D’OH … you passed on multiple Hamms? I think there are quite a few people missing that one … including me. I am glad to hear that they are still being released. I had begun to think that these may have only been released very early one as I have never heard anyone finding one on the shelf since these started coming out. One complete set except Ham and a partial set hanging up on my walls at work. And yup som are tough to find. Among the toughest are Chick, Blue McQueen, Sarge in single pack, Filmore in single package (both daylight packaging) and Liz. Also seem slike the 3 pack of Guido,Luigi and the Tractor are tough to find now.

There are also 2 different sets of packaging. The Daylight packaging which was relased first when the film first came out and the 'Supercharged' night packaging whch is what you find now in the stores...if you find em.

Oh I also don't have MAc yet but he is outthere...somewhere. He comes in a box and is pretty big.

It's a die cast, same scale with other die-cast Cars.
I think that Mater comes with a weird track and there's a big chunk of something with teeth attatch to the end of the track.
And Mater can run through those teeth-like things. It' a playset, likely to be the Bowling Mater game that Underdog just mentioned, but I haven't seen this set since after Christmas...

To add to this, we have moved on to Finding Nemo now and there is an Toy Story and Incredibles appearance in the film. Also, the film is dedicated to the real McQueen who passed away. That's who the car was named after.

I lucked into the Monsters Inc guys today and a lot of Hamm. Basically I am buying for my son, an extra set for him, my nephew ad a forum member, so finding 5 sets was a bonus!

And they had 6 Ferrari Fans set. But they sold earlier in the week. Boooooooo!

I grabbed a Monsters Inc for CK. but he has one already, so anyone feel free to PM me.

Now all Will needs are the Ferrari Fans!!!!!!

Other than Will's play set, I have an extra set of nearly everything in case he loses or breaks something. I also have extra Mack Transporters and Mack Playsets so if anyone wants to send me a PM they can.

I was at Wal Mart when they stocked recently and there were a TON of Hamms....so many that I didnt think they were hard to find, so I didnt even get one...I got the blue McQueen and New Mater instead. Now, I cant find a Hamm anywhere!
