Yep. 600 of 'em. Signed by Joe Simon too I believe (which is appropriate, since he...not Jack Kirby...came up with the original costume design, triangular shield and all).

I really like the black base on this one. I was considering trying to find one but I only care to have the Modern version to replace the one I've got now. If it doesn't come in this style then I don't wanna waste my time looking for one.

There was one on ebay. The person wanted $225, without the box. This piece is worth $175 tops,any more your over paying.

IMO, this is one of the few remaining big bargains out there on Phase 1 Bowen FS statues. Not only is it Captain America, and a great sculpt, but it's got a production run of less than 1/3 the quantity of the regular GA Cap (600 vs. 2000) and it comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by both Randy and Joe Simon.

The next one I see for under $200 I'm jumping at.

I got one of these for my big bro when they came out (he's a big cap fan). I am pretty sure that because of the litigation that was going on at the time over who owned Cap (Marvel or Simon) that Simon did not sign it. The certifcate was signed by Bowen though.

I never liked this piece when you put it next to the modern version you`ll see why.

Well, I had it for awhile, then I had to sell it for financial reasons. I later bought the Modern Cap so I could place him with the Avengers, but I always liked the GA Cap too...something about the shield just looks cool. I really wish Randy had tossed a couple blue stripes on it though.

I prefer the blue stripes too. I wonder if anyone has ever customized this piece.

I got the classic for $100, and modern $125, exclusive $150. But i see on ebay some folks are selling the modern cap for $300 to $400. And both classic versions from $150 to $200.

those things have fallen I remember when booney was looking for one they were going well over the 200 mark. I guess those were the days

I sold this a while back to buy something else, with the thought of "..well, do I REALLY need 2 Captains??.."..well you know how that goes. I think it's time to go back to the bay..:(
