Obscure Dreams [Archive]

As I start this thread, I am remembering each and every post that people have wrote. Even me at times, saying this character or that one shouldn't get done. At times even telling people to stop dreaming and wishing. Why? Why should I stop wanting a MAN-APE? Why should Jimi stop wanting a Jim Lee CYCLOPS? Or Jimbo stop wanting a KLAW? Or Alex a BI-BEAST?
Not all want the ''main stream heroes and villians'', I know that I don't. And don't we all want the full rouges gallery for our favorite heroes? I do!
I want the DEFENDERS busted,all of them. I want the WRECKING CREW busted. We need all of these busted, because even if Spider-Man and Wolverine ''pay the bills''. We can only have so many of these, the obscure does have a following and we have money, lots of it too. Look at Furet, he has alot of post's for 8-ball, 8-BALL!!!! If you wouldn't buy it, who cares? There are 1500 others or 2500 others who will!

So, dream. And dream BIG. And OBSCURE!!!!

True, some of the characters may not be mainstream, but when busted (or FS) correctly (aka 8-Ball) would generate a lot of interest.

I would love to see a MB Bi-Beast.

He's not terribly obscure, but he is big! A Galactus-sized Super Adaptoid would be the first villain I'd ever actually purchase as a FS statue.

I think that it's fair for anyone to post the characters that they would like Randy to consider, and I'd even like Randy to post an official "poll" asking us which characters we'd like him to do....if Klaw, Man-Ape, and Bi-Beast don't come out on top, I'm ok with that....but I will keep asking....I know that everyone has their faves, but I would find it hard to believe that KLAW, Man-Ape, Bi-Beast, Psycho-Man, a Jim Lee Cyclops, etc. wouldn't be done sometime in the run, so I'm ready to be patient and wait...I'm not really into 90's characters like Cable and Exodus, but would I buy them if Randy produced them...hell, yes!! I get a little frustrated when I see forum members shoot down others wish lists....I have absolutely no idea who 8-Ball is, but I'll support whomever loves this guy, and be first in line to purchase one if he's released....

I agree with you boobhound! I think a lot of obscure characters hardly get made because they are not popular with the mainstream comic audience or Bowen collector. Some of the obscure characters are visually appealing. I believe a lot of the obscure characters can make amazing FS or MB's. I am glad some characters like Constrictor, Gladiator (buzzsaws) and Dragon Man are being done by Bowen. There are enough comic fans that would buy the obscure characters if the run was low- 1000 to 2000. Here are a few obscure characters I would like to see: Mister Hyde, Tiger Shark, Beetle and Radioactive Man.

How about Acroyer from the Micronauts. He could even have a change o' head helmet on/helmet off thing going on.

I'd love to see a FS Beta Ray Bill too.

The suggested Super adaptoid would be pretty cool as well.

Pogo, I gotta tell ya, I can't believe you put the Equinox up there. He's one of my true all time favorite villains and the character I took my username from. If anyone read that Marvel Team-up issue featuring the the Human Torch and Ice-man up against the Equinox, it was classic (to me anyway).

I swear I'd buy at least two if it were made.

If they did the Grim Reaper, damn, he needs to be done up FS. They could even do that pose right there. That S.O.B. really wreaked some havoc on the Avengers. One of the all time great villains/great look.
