Some of you may have seen the I'm the Hero... (http://www.statueforum.com/showthread.php?t=26237) feature in the Good Grief section, featuring suitably heroic forum members as floaty head supertypes. Well, some forum members, it turns out, are more than just a pretty face. Some have shoulders, and arms, and other bits. And one or two have volunteered (or in some cases have been volunteered) to undergo more radical heroification. These are the results...

Eep, folks might not want them anymore if they think I've kept them under my belt...

But yeah, these have been done over a few months. I was waiting to get a few together to post. The earliest one, Dark Jessie, was done in acrylics on paper, as was KDawg, Meteor man was good ol' paint on acetate and now I've cracked open the coloured pencils for Bender (last month) and CK13 (yesterday!).

I think it's like that on the cel (hopefully!). The heel is hidden behind the ankle bone - yeah, that's it!

Jess, you are correct, I am still getting used to the wife part. We actually went to Bed Bath & Beyond, and I found a great frame to hang this on our office / statue room when we are done with everything else. You are a real talent my friend, you really outdid yourself on all of these. Glad to hear my wife was the first in the line, it makes it a little more special, lol! :thumbs2: I was also there when Jesse gave Bender hers, her expression was priceless! Keep up the great work!

Not much new as far as art, I've been in a slump. It happens about this time every winter or just periodically. Plus I just got a new Mac but haven't figured it out and I still need to get Photoshop CS and Illustrator. My old programs don't work on the new computer. So I'm working more naturally with pen pencil and paint. I'll post some stuff as soon as I get back into my groove.
I've also been trying out some sculpting..but it's rough,and it takes getting used to.

Thanks guys - this was trickier than I thought. Not so much Simpsonizing Doug (which came pretty quick) , but making the forced perspective not look goofy in Simpsons style.
