I have the earlier one but will pick up the ''modern'' for display. All look great, just that my money is tight. And I am not the biggest Iron Man fan, like him don't love him. And I'm with boobhound on the chroming. They can be "shiny" without being chromed. There is a difference, and I'd rather have them just shine and e on time than be super-shiny and 6 months late.

It was Arno Stark who was a relative of Tony Stark who designed and wore a future Iron man suit. The book was memorable because Spider-man kicked IM's ass all over the place in that book.

In light of how they are treating SM in the comics today,..I really want to immortalize that version.

IM 2020 first appearred in the MACHINE MAN mini by BWS back in the 1980's. He's actually Arno Stark, not Tony. But he's since appearred in that Spidey annual and the Earth X series.

he was in the Machine Man 4 issue mini series first- #2 is the first appearance of arno stark. (i am 99% sure)
the last page was a big splash page saying he was the iron man of 2020

I hope not. They made only 500 of the Iron Man 2020 bust from Alex Ross' Earth X and it does very very well on the secondary market, suggesting that there is more of a demand than just 500.

Just so we pin this down... here's the chronology I just read on good 'ole Arno, Mr. IM 2020:

It is extremely difficult to piece together the chronology of Iron Man 2020, given the fact that all but like two of his appearances involve time or dimensional travel. Many of the appearances involve him being pulled from an unspecified point and then being returned without much further detail.

According to the issues, The Machine Man series took place b/t September 23-25, 2020, though these events may turn out to be topical.
When he showed up in F4#405, he said "Where is Machine Man? The blast should have destroyed him! The metal monster was standing right in front of me moments ago!" However, as he has apparently battled Machine Man on multiple occasions, this does not definitively lock the appearance as occurring during Machine Man II#3 or 4.
When he appeared in Paradise X, he commented that he had just killed Machine Man, so perhaps that represents a later appearance, or perhaps he only thought he had slain Machine Man. In addition, as it was eventually revealed that not all of the Heralds were whom they were initially thought to represent. Spider-Girl was not her exact counterpart from Earth-MC2, and Hyperion was from a much darker future than Earth-S. Who even knows about Deathlok? That chronology is such a mess--I'll try to see if I can weave it together in the Deathlok profile that's not too far off. So, it may be that this is not the same Iron Man 2020 that we have seen.
At any rate, the Heralds are:
Bloodstorm of Earth-Mutant X, counterpart to Storm/Ororo Monroe, who had been turned into a vampire from Dracula's bite
Deathlok, possibly Deathlok the Demolisher of Earth-Deathlok, or possibly just another counterpart to him (who can tell with the way no one gives a rat's @$$ about continuity
Hyperion, a counterpart to Hyperion of the Squadron Supreme of Earth-S, who had seen most of his former allies slain
Iron Man 2020, or a counterpart
Killraven, possibly the original version of Earth-Killraven, but possibly a counterpart as well.
Spider-Girl, a counterpart to the version from Earth-MC2
Wolverine, either the version of Earth-Days of Future Past, or a counterpart
They were organized by X-51 of Earth X, the counterpart to Machine Man
To be honest, I didn't give Paradise X much time, as I had lost interest in the trilogy around the second issue of Universe X.
Spider-Man/X-Men: Time's Arrow: The novels are not official canon, though there is nothing to exclude them from chronology, either. They have WAY less continuity snafus than half of the series out now, but that's neither here nor there. Unfortunately, since I'm writing this after the Spidey-Pedia came out, I didn't remember to include it in that publication. But I will for the future, let me assure you!
The one-shot Iron Man 2020 seemed to represent a turning point for Arno, in which--with the aid of Howard (Tony Stark) and Micky--he might have gone on to become a real hero, after all. Perhaps that issue takes place as the most recent in his chronology, with the others preceding it, but it could also be that his attempt to be a hero fell flat, and he continued to be the cynical capitalist he had been before.

Yes. He had a backpack when it debuted in The Invincible Iron Man #200. I was happy to see the attention to detail given both SC & Stealth. Way to go guys!

At Least Chrome The Iron Man 2020, That Would Go With My Earth X Bust Of Iron Man. Now That Was One Excellent Bust.

I am in for all of them, in fact, the Iron Man busts already released is wha tgot me into Bowen Busts. I love all the different versions of the armor (well, up until the last few years where every artist felt they needed to redesign the suit).

I hope to see his Space Armor and Deep Sea suit, along with the "Nose" variant!

I'm a fan of chrome, but is to much of a pain in the a$$. I just dont think bowen has gotten one right in chrome. A shinny paint job would be best, like vindacator.

That's the only one I'm really not familiar with. I'd rather see the Hulkbuster armor, but that would've required a different sculpt. The future was probably an easier tweak.

Vindicator is actually chromed!!!:) The red is chromed and the white is painted.

Don't want to be a hater - but doesn't Iron Man already have like 20 busts of him out there.

Why is Bowen doing this when there are so many other characters in the Marvel cache that needs to be busted? Personally I would like to see Venom, Marvel Girl, or even another Ghost Rider busted before I spend money on yet another Iron Man. :mad:

This looks like a gimmick for Bowen to cash in and reminds me of the comic industry's downfall of the '90s when they had 5 covers of X-Men #1 and all that mess.
