Hello,

i collected Bowen Designs statues some years ago and stopped with Doctor Doom. Maybe cause i didn`t like his eyes much.

Not long ago, i stumbled over the Red Skull statue and soon after it, the Scorpion statue. Two all time faves of mine and ordered them. And the Red Skull is good, the Scorpion simply is one of the best statues i`ve ever seen.

Since then, i ordered Rhino, Mysterio, Spider Woman and the new Green Goblin as well.

What i`m curious about is: Why did the number of statues produced drop so much over the years? Back then, i remember, each statue was around 3000, 4000 and 5000 and the new ones are only 1000, 1500 and 2000. Esp Scorpion and only 1000 made?!?

Did the interest in statues drop so much over the years? Or is it cause all the real big characters were made in the past and now, only the second row is left?

Short version:

Too much competition from other companies.

Yeah, there's just a flood of this type of material out there and larger edition sizes don't sell out.

It's a decent question DrZombie. Welcome to the forum! :D

Plus larger edition sizes seem to only work for the bigger more popular caharacters
