Thanks to Car5on for hooking me up with a trade for this Cap. I love the way the black base looks. He's going to replace my Classic Cap statue in my display.

It is an awesome piece! Perhaps you can settle a recent question for me...did it come with a COA signed by Randy Bowen and Joe Simon?

No. But that's not the answer. This particular statue is missing the signature card all together so I can't answer the question at all.

Tony - you've got to have pieces just sitting around collecting dust that you don't want. Do I what I started doing this year, sell and trade them. Then get cooler stuff you want. :thumbs2:

I use to have this piece and mine had a COA with Randy's signature...no Simon though.

what so special about this piece, it's not even a sculpt repaint, it's a base repaint...

congrats btw.

Plus, what I just noticed tonight for the first time, is that the base is rotated 180 degrees from the standard GA Cap statue. It has the same design on the front as the Modern Cap...weird.

I HAVE ONE OF THESE AND THE PAINT UP ON THIS ONE LOOKS ALOT BETTER THAN THE OTHER CLASSIC ONE I HAD IT IS A LITTLE DARKER AND THE BLACK BASE REALLY SETS IT OFF NICELY THIS IS ONE I WILL NOT GIVE AWAY LIKE THE OTHER ONE.

I'm not even sure if this was a "proper" variant. It was distributed before I got the Bowen bug. How exactly did Georgia Music get involved selling this?

Seriously though, how difficult would it be to find someone named Joe Simon to sign it

Joe Simon was supposed to sign it, but I got an e-mail before mine shipped out to say he would not be doing so. I believe this was around the time that Simon and Marvel were in a legal dispute, but I don't know whether that had anything to do with it.

Great piece, one of my favs. The black base really sets off the colors of Cap.

I saw this statue at a Con in Philly awhile back, this was before I bought FS's, it was going for $150.00 then, well needless to say, I don't have it.
But want it, the black base threw me off, knew nothing about the Georgia Music thing, then or now.
Nice piece, black base and golden age Cap, I've got the classic Cap, but this style is great.
Waiting to see New BD Cap pic's.
Congrat's on a nice pickup!
