That's kind of amazing isn't it? The red and blue is such an icon that you'd think nothing coud ever top it. But I agree the black costume really looks great and I like it AT LEAST as much as the red/blue. I always wanted Marvel to do a seperate Spider-man book where he wears the black costume, just to keep it around.

I will agree that the two new Spider-Man busts are nicer looking than the ones from the Venom 3-pack, but I'm curious as to why you're not a fan of the Venom bust itself? I always thought it was pretty spot-on perfect :confused:

I always thought it was okay at best. I only picked it up because I'm a Spidey freak and I was a fake completist at the time.

Agree. I like the arms and the pose on the new one, but the triple pack black Spidey is still one of my favorites. I think the Venom is pretty good too.

The Venom bust is without a doubt the best representation of the character ever, and I'm happy with the armless (hurrah!) black Spidey bust therein, so the Triple Pack is still decent value for me. I think I'll leave the new Spideys to new collectors.

Gotta disagree with you there General - the Venom 3 pack is a beauty with Venom being the best one of the three! No need for a new Venom bust at all.

The paint on the new black spidey really captures the 'alien' influence of the costume - GREAT paint job!! :thumbs2:

Agreed. I always felt BD nailed the character right then and there. I didn't care much for the Spidey's that came with it, but I did like that the bases matched.

Are there any updates to whether Comic Statues will hav ethis or not? I already ordered the classic from him, but the delay in that one being offered is making me paranoid that there is a VERY limited run on this and he will not have access...

I am fairly new to collectcting, so forgive me if I don't understand CS' relationship with Bowen Designs. I just really want the Black costume bad, and am on the verge of paying much more for it by buying it through Bowens site.
