Tom Hicks is one of the dumbest, most eccentric spenders in Sports. He's the guy that gave Alex Rodriguez a $250 million dollar, 10 year contract, which in turn blew the market up. He always overpays for talent just so he can say he has it. So if Liverpool just wants someone who will spend every dime, plus some more, on talent, you're good as gold. if you'd rather have a smart businessman with a plan for the future and an eye on winning rather then ticket sales, my condolences.

I dont know anything about hockey..so someone else will have to fill in about George Gillet.
