First get representation. You definitely need an agent. Then have them do all the leg work so you can hone your craft.

No, seriously, am I missing something? Is this all some joke that only a privileged few understand? An elaborate thumb to the nose of conventional art? Is the artist secretly missing both arms and perfoming Photoshop miracles with a Wacom, a stick and his rectum? Cuz, really and truly, with a supposed twenty years of drawing experience, in the artist's own words, what's been showcased in this thread is substandard to my three year old nephew's Etch-a-Sketch productions. I really am impressed with the intellectual undertones that you display in these images. The most obvious being that these larger than life characters cannot be defined by the conventional comic book artists lines. Your images truly express the ambiguity of our perception of what is real and what is imagined.

You do bring up some valid points. YOu might not see Tony as being AS talented, but the kid has potential! It is clearly obvious that you have mastered the finer points of your craft. His style is more RAW.

You could always try Paint BBS. It's like a message board, but you can draw stuff too. Plus it works for any OS, since it's something you install onto a web server. (I have one right here (http://whitewonder.spartan-glade.net/draw/), if you wanna see some of what you can do with it, but you have to register to use it)

It's like MS Paint on steroids, but the basic pencil tool an' stuff is there. Though you'd have a bit of an unfair advantage, since Paint BBS also has stuff like a pen tool, tones, layers an' stuff.

I was messing with paint last night and it took me over an hour until I realized that there were more than those 16 or so colors on the bottom to choose from.

Is there going to be a standard size that everyone has to work with, XXX pixels x XXX pixels and a similiar type of pose?

Once you go tablet, you can never go back to a mouse.

Though a mouse is nice too, if anything for getting little detailed spots.

But I prefer to hand-draw with pencil though.

If it was a more refined contest -like say with Photoshop- then I'd say the playing field is unleveled.

But since this is MS Paint and all... besides, there's plenty of good entries!
