Oh all knowing pie master,
Is not wanting to have a girlfriend around Valentines Day morally wrong?
I HATE these holidays made up by retailers in an attempt to get more of my "statue money". ARE THEY KIDDING ME??? I KNOW WHAT THEY ARE UP TO!!!
I always seem to coincidentally break up with, or simply avoid, any potential girlfriend around this time and then I suddenly reappear a few days past V day, acting as if all is well. Sadly for the girls, it always seems to work. (I also do this on birthdays and Christmas......)
Is this wrong? If so, is there a course of treatment available you could recommend for it? Am I alone in my sickness?
I appreciate your all knowing wisdom, as do we all......

Closetnerd, V-day, or Vagina day, is a holiday invented by the denziens of Venus (aka Females) to further tighten the chain around mankinds balls they clasp on to so vigorously. Putting it simply, women have something men want, and that is Vagina. Yes, there are other things, a smoking hot boddy, an ass you can bounce a quarter off of, Titties you can set a drink inbetween, all of those things men need. Unfortunately only women have those things and can give them to us at their discretion, thus putting that chain around our balls. There is no way around this unless you have no interest in a chica with a smoking hot ass and fine titties you can set your drink inbetween. Having abs you can eat scrambled eggs off of is also a plus, but anyway...
Avoiding chicas on v-day is a ****ing smart thing to do brother, or relationships anyway. If you should meet a chica whom you can set a steak sandwich on their ass and only do it for the night, and better yet will agree not to speak with you other than to say, "I'll bring you another sandwich", then have at that **** young man. The relationship thing though, run, run away, especially on v-day.
I'm calling for a mans holiday, a holiday where we get what we want and foxy chicas will come in droves and bring us plates of chicken wings and pints of Sam Adams, peach pies and peanut butter m and ms's. They can take baths together while we watch, and serve each other pie. This holiday will be called, "I'm a man goddammit and I deserve something too" and should be celebrated at least once a year, the day after the superbowl. ****, women get their birthdays, v-day, chrismas, sweathearts day and pretty much whatever day they want as long as they have the power of Vagina behind them. I say men deserve the same.
This post may not apply to everyone, vaginanotouchy is real and we all need to be wary. With that being said, I hope I've answered your question brother. Peace, and go to the nearest college bar and find yourself a hottie with low self-esteem...

ok I saw this thread late... since I am a lady I know that Valentines Day is a bit... ok alot girly. But being the understanding gf I know my man deserves something in return if he gets me something on Valentine's Day. Now we are both Star Wars collecting geeks, and I got him the Gentle Giant Darth Maul mini-bust... which he was quite happy about. He bought me really nice diamond earrings. I just see the Day as an excuse to buy my Sweetie an extra nice gift, just cause I like buying him nice things... cause he can't really afford to buy himself nice things.
I can't see why you didn't want to be with your gf on Valentines Day... unless she is a total sea-hag.
If you find the right girl, you will want to be around her all the time. :)

As a woman myself, there is some agreement here. Although I have never understood why people feel the need to "have to purchase" a gift, aside from pure laziness. I guess I am a little traditionally unique when it comes to this "holiday". I can totally appreciate those who view it as a "hallmark" holiday. I rather enjoy making my own Valentines sending them to various people who not only deserve them, but would not really expect them
When it comes to my own Valentine, I spent a grand total of maybe $5.00 this year. This counts a .39 stamp, a card and supplies. I usually make my own Valentines and write my own stuff. It's fun, far more romantic, and more memerable (I think). Anyhow, my point is, that a little imagination and some sentiment go a long way. I have a strict rule against owning more jewelry than I can wear at one time. I also feel that flowers are a huge waste of $$, and dinner and a movie, are always special.....Valentines Day only exasserbate the pressure of trying to second guess someone mood and or intentions. :thumbsdow Valentines Day is about sharing something with the people you care for, not about spending money you don't have to make an impression you don't need to make. :thumbs2:
