Any one going to pick up this set? On the Rittenhouse site, it says this set will be coming out July 11th 2007.

I doubt it. Not much of a DC fan. I'll have to wait and see what the cards will look like.

Yeah, this is being kept pretty hush hush. Rumors are that they will be using DC artists for the sketch cards for this set. Thats too bad, I would have loved to draw Superman, Batman, Flash, Hawkman and others for this set.

I might check it out - I like both Marvel and DC.
Nice artwork Perna - really like the Avengers one (Stingray, Jack of Hearts - some true love to some great 2nd stringers!!!)

I hope this doesn't end their work with Marvel.

No, no, no, Rittenhouse has the licence with marvel as well. They will be producing another Marvel based comic card set by the end of the year.

I believe the set will still be released in July. From what I've heard, DC/Rittenhouse would like to premiere them at the SDCC.

I don't think my two samples have been put up on the site yet. I'm trying to get through these other 223 cards so I can send them in and have them scanned. I'm telling you, this set is going to be killer.

Wow!
That's some expensive cards considering the info I just took a closer look at:
Set Configuration
4 Cards Per Pack WTF?!?!?!:peoples:
24 Packs Per Box
12 Boxes Per Case
That's nearly $.75 a card.
And the chase cards IMO don't justify that kind of price.
Each box of this ground-breaking series will contain ONE hand-drawn colored Sketch Card - a first for any DC trading card series!
* 9 First Title Covers (1:8 packs) - First Title Cover issues of BATMAN, SUPERMAN, WONDER WOMAN, FLASH and others.
* 9 Greatest Team-Ups (1:12 packs) - Featuring the Greatest Team-Ups in DC history with the likes of SUPERMAN/BATMAN and others.
* 9 Heroic Clashes (1:12 packs) - Faturing the top icon battles in DC history with the likes of BATMAN vs. JOKER and others.
* 9 DC Gallery (1:24 packs) - Showcasing the artwork of Alex Ross
@#$@#$ 9 boxes to get the Alex Ross set!:banghead:
Well, that's DC for you.:thumbsdow

For the 1996 MM you had to open either or 30,000 or 60,000 packs to get a redemption card. At $4.00 a pack thats quite expensive for a $3000 dollar painting.
