ReelArt Studios

Hey Folks,
ReelArt Studios is talking to this amazing sculptor known for 1:1 scale work. Tom Kuebler is the name and his site is located at http://www.tskuebler.com/
We are looking at bring Tom's work into the 1/8th to 1/6th scale market, produced in all resin whereas now Tom used fiberglass, clay and various materials to clothe his characters. Tom would probably do the basic rough with Tim Bruckner doing the finishes. Products would be mounted on complimentary wooden bases. These two images ( Cleatus and Shorty and The Puppeteer) are what we are thinking about producing. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Do you think a line like this would go over? Thanks for looking...Michael/RAS

Very cool. Very hyper-realistic. Would love to see this guy tackle
more mainstream subject and superhero stuff.

They look too damn real!!! I think I would be too freaked out to have them in my home.
Who am I kidding? I'd love to own them, even with the nightmares they would cause!:buttrock:

Wow now that is some awesome talent right there! His expressions and gestures are spot on!
I just don't think it would appeal to a mass market, and would have to be very limited since I don't see many but a handful of collectors getting on to this. I love his work though.

He's work is amazing.....You should let him tackle .....The Shadow...as it should be done...1/6 or 1/1 very limited.
Bernie Wrightson's work should be done by him as well as Frazetta.
How good is he sculpting women?

Great. Take a guy who is clearly doing his own thing, wayyy outside the norm, and have him do yet 'another' Batman and yet 'another' Spider-man... Ughhh!
I would buy his stuff in a second.
Less heroes = more freaks!!!

amazing stuff! kinda freaky but still..imagine if he does Alex Ross art based statues.
Totally amazing skills and talent. The choice of characters he has thus far
wouldn't interest me though, fantastic as they may be. If some name characters
were done, I'd certainly be interested though. 1/4 scale would be preferred, as
the ultra-realistic fine-details could still be retained at that scale, where anything
smaller gets more difficult, and generally less realistic looking.

Thanks for letting me in on this artist's site. Loved it. If ReelArt actually does something with him, they should think about a Halloween Market. Quality Halloween products are few and far between. Kuebler's art would look great on a hall table in October. His zombies were so detailed. I'd buy one (or all 3) in a second.
