Hopefully this will deliver the action that was missing from House of M and Civil War. I think the results from both of those mini-series is cool, but the execution was a tad boring and long. This looks like it could be the Hulk going from door-to-door beating th crap out of heroes.

I think it will deliver a ton of action Neil... Hulk beating ass is a fairly straightforward concept and Marvel shouldn't try too hard at working any deep message in this...

i dunno, Marvel is 2 for 2 with HoM and CW, so as i did with CW. I will be sitting back and reading the spoilers and then hit those dollar bins or tpd after if its any good.

i have a gut feeling at the end of this "event" hulk stops in his tracks, says "hulk is wrong, hulk stops now" and walks away........

I'm gonna try Annihilation Conquest and skip WWH and wait for the dollar bins or TPB if its any good. Seems as tho the cosmic stuff at marvel is way better then the other events.

If he didn't take out hulk with the first blast from this range, I highly doubt he is going to to much from that last pic.

Come on Lord Odin, a little imagination here :) , BB expected the Hulk to be waisted with his first 'whisper'. You see him walking away with Medusa totally not expecting to be attacked again. I agree that BB is more powerfull than the Hulk, but the way I see it BB is totally surprised here so the Hulk can do what he wants :buttrock:

When the Hulk first arrived on Saakar, he was severely weakened by going through the wormhole that got him to the planet. As time went on, his strength returned and he now seems to be far stronger than he has been in the past.

So, the Hulk angry beyond reason from betrayal and grief, seasoned from months (?) of gladiatorial combat and warfare, and he's physically more powerful than ever before.

Black Bolt's hypersonic scream may also be weaker on the moon than on Earth due to the limited atmosphere within the Blue Area.

Besides they need to show the Hulk thrash the rest of the Illuminati before the final battle with Iron Man.

My theory:

Black Bolts power had greater effect at longer range (as it IS sonic in nature).

At close range....like Hulk holding onto his arm, he was able to tough it out and hold on. If he had been 20 yards away...forget about it!

I rule that this IS an acceptable interaction between the two characters.

The Civil War series' idea seems to have been colored with a bit of Bush America allegory, whereas WWH seems simple: Hulk is pissed, Hulk is gonna find you, Hulk is gonna smash!"

Now Hulk can heal when that u-foe guy vector fried all of Hulk`s flesh he healed in seconds but Black Bolt`s power isn`t heat so he should have not only peeled away Hulk`s flesh but pulverized and scattered his bones as well.
Now I know it`s called world war Hulk and not Hulk loses right away so the writing is going to show Hulk beating anyone.

I don't think we should get hung up on past battles and statistics, MU is forever changing the power levels of their characters. Let the Hulk have his time in the sun and kick some major hero butt, the potential has always been there.

Except that this was a depowered and weakened Silver Surfer who also was being controled with the disk grafted to his body. The Surfer was not at full strength. He was weakened coming through that worm hole as The Hulk previously had been having gone through, himself, though Hulk was regaining his strength at that point.
