Wow! I just ran across these comic collections on DVD, and I wondered
what comic-book readers here would think of them?

Complete DVD comic collections (http://www.amazon.com/Marvel-Comics-DVD-ROM-Collections/lm/R3J86VLTTACOV6/ref=cm_lmt_dtpa_f_3_rdssss1/002-2404329-1078411?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=listmania-center&pf_rd_r=0RNPFKW5CJ85FAK7HRWB&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_p=253733701&pf_rd_i=B000OON842)

Seems GREAT to me, and I'll likely buy several series like this, as I could care
less about having the physical comic in my hands (or taking up space) and for
the price of $40 to $50 for complete collection, it seems ridiculously cheap!

Thoughts?

I have the "40 years of Avengers" DVD, and I like it.
Like you I don't have to have the physical book in my hand to enjoy it and for $40 it's a steal!
I say buy it :thumbs2:

I've ordered the Cap and Hulk collections (they haven't been released, yet) and I have the Avengers, X-Men, FF and Spidey collections. I'm passing on the Ghost Rider, because I don't think there could be all that many issues. I'm very happy with all the ones I've gotten so far. I do wish they could have found some better copies to scan when looking at the older issues. Sometimes the covers have some very visible creases in them.

I agree. I have Spiderman, and some of the source material is in horrendous condition.

You are limited that you can only read these sitting up at your computer, but still, a lot of material for the cost.

Tempting. It would almost be worth it just to be able bring up trivia and pictures at any time and present them on the forum. Of course, no mere dvd could replace Tetragrammaton as the resident comic book savant. :)
