If you were selling it to me, no.

According to GPA Analysis, 19 copies in that condition have sold in the last 30 days with the average price being $1325. The historical confirmed high sale is $1725 and confirmed low is $250. The last sale was $1076.

To show how one flaw changes the price of a book, one 9.9 has been sold in 12/05 for $3050.

Given his upcoming appearance in S3, I would not take under $1500 for the book.

All that being said, I'll give you $250 for it, today. Cash! Right now.

Ungraded it will fetch 100-125 tops on ebay. Unless you guarantee it will grade out at a certain level.

Basically anyone buying an ungraded copy will assume it must be under a 9.4 or you would have it graded before selling it.

Man, that price seems high to me. I still think there are ungraded high-grade copies out there, though probably not as many, for sure. Not every ungraded NM out there is ungraded because it's a 9.2, surely?

I actually was shcoked by the price as well. I figured it was a couple hundred dollar book. So when I saw the question I checked it out on GPA, Comiclink and EBay. The book is consistently selling at those levels. And I do not think the movie hype has hit it yet.

Speaking just about EBay, I would wager that the majority of ungraded copies are btwn 9.0-9.2. Take a minute and peruse the auctions and, in fact, most of the auction descriptions actually say as much. But obviously not every high grade copy has been graded, however, if I were ith a knowlegable seller (who can sell his book for $100 or spend $60 and sell it for $1500)you know which one I am betting on.

I sold mine ungraded on eBay less than a year ago for $150, in my description I stated that it was VF-NM or better.

Here is the going rate on eBay for a 9.8 cgc copy

it takes a long time to learn the CGC scale. judging 9.0 to 10 is harder the every other grade before it. i've been looking over books since cgc started and only started getting good at ita couple months ago.

if you feel the RAW copy is 9.8, take it to cgc or a certified merchant and have it sent. unless a VERY reputable dealer says, this WILL come back 9.8, you're at the mercy of overstreet, ebay and pessimistic buyers, which have the book at 125-150. most dealers pay 50 to 75 for books worth that much. as a dealer, that's what i'm paying for RAW "nm" copies
