We all know "Last Son" in Action Comics was pretty good but then scheduleing issues. well here are some more scheduleing problems This was posted over at Newsarama:

At his MySpace page, Geoff Johns gave an update on the “Last Son” storyline that he and co-writer Richard Donner are writing in DC’s Action Comics. Johns posted:

A note to let everyone know that our "Last Son" finale has been moved to ACTION COMICS ANNUAL #11 to accommodate Adam [Kubert]'s schedule and allow us to continue on with our Action Comics run.

First things first, I haven't done any of the fill-ins because, beyond JSoA and GREEN LANTERN, I've leaped ahead on ACTION COMICS and am already working on the last half of 2007 and into 2008. Kurt and I are totally in sync and have laid out the plans for 2007 and 2008 and it's always a pleasure to work with him in the same Superman-verse.

Much like WONDER WOMAN, the last chapter of LAST SON will be in ACTION COMICS ANNUAL #11 later this year when Adam's finished with it. This, quite frankly, allows us to move ahead and get our work on Action Comics coming out monthly with the stories we want to tell.

Donner and I resume our Action run with Eric Powell's three issue arc "ESCAPE FROM BIZARRO WORLD" which we're already working on. I've seen the first several pages and Eric is doing fantastic work.

Immediately following that, I've also began working far ahead with the artist taking over the monthly reigns of Action Comics. He's unbelievably talented, you've seen his most recent work at Marvel, and he's it in for the long haul. Our first storyline will be announced very soon and springs forth from the JLoA/JSoA crossover.

Anymore questions throw them my way and I'll do my best to answer them.

Thanks for reading,

Geoff

The six-part “Last Son” has seen its full share of scheduling difficulties. The last issue of the storyline featuring a “return” of the Phantom Zone villains more in line with their appearance from Donner’s Superman II was issue #846, which hit in February. The storyline will continue in issue #851, due in stores in June, which will be in 3D. As Johns told us in February, issues #851-#853 would complete the storyline, with Powell’s story tentatively slated to begin in issue #854 and run through issue #856.

Now, however, and taken from Johns’ comments (on MySpace, at his forum on ComicBloc) and from the Previews of DC’s July solicitations which ran at Newsarama yesterday, #851 will ship in June, with parts 4 and 5 making up Action Annual #11.

Left unclear is when Powell’s issues will begin, as the new solicitation for July’s Action Comics #852 (linked above) indicates that the story (written by Kurt Busiek) is three issues long, meaning that the earliest Powell’s story could begin is October’s Action #855.

I'm SO tired of non-industry guys coming in and fuc%ing every schedule up. Has there been ANYONE from outside the industry that came in and stayed on schedule?

Stay in your own damn sandbox. Leave ours alone. We have enough trouble with the guys who are supposed to be working in this medium.
