Ok, I just saw the first two episodes of Basilisk. Think Romeo and Juliet with marital arts. Two warring clans seem on the verge of reconciliation when two main characters fall in love and are about to get married.

Too bad someone wants both clans to wipe each other out. A tournament is set up where each of the clans top 10 ninjas fight to the death.

I like it a lot.:thumbs2:

yeah this is another series that i have been meaning to check out.... do you if its still ongoing or if it ends in like 26 eps.

It's a finite series. I think 24 episodes.

Just an update: I'm into disc 3 of Basilisk and it's kick a**! Awesome animation and excellent storytelling. Love the tension that developing and some of these battle scenes have "classic" written all over them! PICK THIS SERIES UP!!!:buttrock:

It's not a bad series - gets slow at some points - the animation in the action sequences is very crisp but the eyes of the characters just seem a but off to me - even by anime standards.

Yup, seen this all. Really awesome. Kinda reminds me of Naruto but more adult-oriented. More brutal and dark. Love it :buttrock:


Also, I was channel surfing and they are being shown on IFC if you have it.

Just finished this up on netflix last weekend. I really liked it. I would have loved to have seen some of those characters in other stories, there were some pretty neat powers and the animnation was great especially the women (Okoi in particular, yowsa).
